this is v important!!!! can someone please tell me what kind of plant this is growing in my backyard?? it’s very green and short and cute. it’s growing by our pool for the aquatic turtles were it stays cool and it seems to be a lil damper in that area. i suspect it’s probably just some type of weed but still i really love it!! so if you can help please do :~)

Soil is a big part of your garden's health. Some plants prefer clay, sand, or loam, and it's rare that all the plants in your garden prefer the same kind. Be careful when correcting soil issues, too. NEVER mix sand with soil to correct clay. You'll end up making concrete. Instead use compost.

End of the season, but you still have loads of green tomatoes? Pick them off and wrap them in newspaper! They'll ripen slowly, and if you leave some of the stem still on, it will extend their shelf life.

Garden tip: Got an issue with bugs destroying your cabbage crop? Plant nasturium! Nasturium is a common 'trap' plant because bugs LOVE it. They'll swarm a leaf, which is then easy to pick off and drop in a bucket of soapy water!
