𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗘, matthew g. gareis 𝗔𝗚𝗘, 23 physically but actually 24 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥, cis-male 𝗦𝗘𝗫𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬, bisexual 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗦, newborn vampire (4 months old) 𝗔𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦, heightened strength & speed, durability, invulnerability, compulsion, etc.

short bio: matthew was turned in an alleyway in new york, new york after recently finding a more permanent job. before this he was couch surfing, taking odd jobs, sleeping on benches occasionally & in shelters. he's been in crisis mode since he turned sixteen and his grandmother died, who has raised him since he was five years old, when his mother (who had him as a teen) abandoned him with her. life, has never been good for matthew, but it was beginning to look up—  until he was turned for looking like his sire's younger brother, whomst his sire murdered as a newborn along with the rest of the man's family. because of this, his sire watched him for weeks before deciding to turn him, changing him amongst broken bottles & wet newspapers. however, what his maker did not know was that as he was hunting mattie, he too was being hunted but by a hunter. this man/woman interupted talbot during the process, though not soon enough to save matthew. talbot, protective of his progeny, lead the hunter away; but too consumed by pain matt was not aware of the situation and feels abandoned and horrified of the man who turned him, and of himself. he feels a strange pull to him, a blood bond, but ignores it at every chance he can. ultimately, mattie refuses to feed. he hasn't fed in current, for months, clinging to whatever control he has unfortunately already lost. his humanity gone. his life gone. etc. this is where we are at current in matthew's life: recently turned, now jobless, without friends, and bouncing from abandoned building to abandoned building where he can sleep.

TRIGGER WARNING: mattie is borderline suicidal at times & deals with suicidal ideation! not always, but it will be a present theme as well as gore, blood & death.

sometimes  i  sit  and  think  abt  how  mattie  woke  up  in  an  alleyway  by  himself  soaked  in  his  own  blood,  taste  of  vampire  blood  in  his  mouth,  and  not  a  single  scratch  on  him.  how  he  could  hear  and  see  everything  so  bright  and  loud.  how  he  had  to  stumble  in  the  shadows  home  to  ruthie,  his  bestfriend,  and  when  he  rang  her  bell  he  hurt  his  own  ears  and  clutched  his  head;  a  hoarse  "ruth?"  then  was  promptly  cleaned  up  without  questions  in  her  bath  tub,  shower  head  in  ruthie's  hand  spraying  all  of  his  own  blood  off  of  his  throat  and  chest,  all  while  he  cant  take  his  eyes  off  her  throat  and  his  eyes  are  glowing  in  the  dim  bathroom  light........  how  he  shoves  her  off  and  flees  from  the  apartment  soaking  wet,  running  with  pink  &  red  and  no  shoes.
