also this has been said before but the lyrics on there clearly aren’t an instance of picking up the nearest scrap of paper to scribble lyrics on situation, bc everything looks nice and neat and nothing is scribbled out. john intentionally wrote that song on that card and it was prob how he presented his final lyrics to paul. whether he was being jokey or sincere (or jokey to hide his true feelings) is up to interpretation, but it was definitely very intentional. like even if the card was from jane, writing THAT on ur homie got from his gf is almost more insane.

imo "to paul with love" is definitely john. but maybe i'm crazy.

the lyrics themselves are in big swoopy cursive but the message is in a sort of half-print half-cursive and switching randomly between cases. all of which john is Known To Do. note the crosses on the T's, the way the first one is a big ol line and the lowercase one on "with" only comes out of the right side. and the little swoops connecting all the letters on "love" ...

we’re probably both crazy but you do make a good point…also i’m noting that capital “E” at the end of “love” as something sort of weird that john seems to do (though here it looks like john usually writes it more like a backwards 3 when he does it at the end of words instead of with straight lines like on the card)

i’ve seen some people saying they don’t think the handwriting matches up at all and i do want to stay grounded but at the same time…iwanttobelieve.jpg lol. might be worthwhile to compare the handwriting with jane’s as well if we have any samples of that to see if that can be ruled out (though i guess even if she is ruled out it could be from plenty of other people)
