Tonight’s line to get inside is longer than, and most certainly not as colourful as usual. You peek about, letting your gaze slide over the people around you, spotting at least some Zabraks, Twi’leks and Togrutas, but mainly humans - the usual attending clones included. Besides the occasional neon or pastel colour, there is mostly black - and you’re strangely excited about it. Because behind those doors is 79’s latest themed party: GAR Goth Night.
Tonight’s theme planners are excited to invite you to join the fun of a GAR Goth Night Zine!
The idea sprouted from escalating chaos, but now we’re planning on creating a free PDF zine for all to enjoy. Since most of us have no experience with the creation of zines, this is mostly a fun project among friends and like-minded people within the Tumblr clone community.
So are you ready to get 𝔤𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔫𝔤?
𝔊𝔢𝔫𝔢𝔯𝔞𝔩 ℭ𝔬𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔫𝔱𝔰
A fanzine is a non-official publication composed by fans, for fans. The purpose of its creation is solely for the pleasure of anyone sharing interest in the subject. This particular zine will contain collected works on the GAR Goth Night theme. And don’t worry, your work(s) won’t be published in it without your permission!
The zine will be 18+ (due to suggestive contents), but will not include smut
This will be a clonec*st-free zine
Contents of the zine may include both art and writing, but anything is welcome (for example, what about a delicious GAR goth mixed drink recipe?)
OC content is allowed (and encouraged!)
This blog will be used to reblog all the GAR Goth Night content
Don't want to be a part of the zine? Let us know via DM
𝔑𝔞𝔳𝔦𝔤𝔞𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫
Search Tumblr for the #gar goth night tag to find out who’s participating, or dive into the reblogs below to get a taste of tonight’s fun themed party!

Are you struggling with the definition of goth? Struggle no more, because we wrote down a summary for you.
First and foremost, goth is a style of rock music that emerged in the UK in the late 1970s. Coming from the post-punk genre, goth rock used darker sounds, making the genre more dramatic and melancholic. Themes inspired by gothic literature include sadness, nihilism, dark romanticism, tragedy, melancholy and morbidity.
From the music style, the goth subculture arose in the 1980s, well known for its mostly (but not exclusively) black fashion and dark makeup. It draws influences from punk, new wave, and Victorian and Edwardian fashion, among others. There are many goth subgenres, including romantic goth, pastel goth, and cybergoth. (So if you aren’t into the all-black outfit, don’t worry; there’s lots to choose from!)
Within the goth arts, there is no wrong way to express yourself as long as it does not do harm to anything or anybody. Everything and everyone is welcome to express themselves through goth music and arts!
Need some music to help you get in the mood? Here's a Spotify playlist with some gothic rock classics!
Tahny "I forgot to put clothes on" Ra usually avoids the "Narc Bar" like the plauge, but who is she to let down her friends. Kahtzi is thrilled. She's wanted to come here since it opened.
"You didn't think I'd miss this did you?"
Guess who flew in. Jar'ath heard Tahny finally dropped into the Clone bar and had to see it for himself. (and tease her about it)
So uh... who hasn't officially met T's brother from another mother?
Careful now @thora-sniper, he knows when eyes are on him.
Tahny's favorite drink is called a Blue Ga'haiian, named from her home world but containing very little of their actual exports. She often has to instruct the bartender how to make it and so she might as well share the recipe with you all.
Blue (Ga)Hawaiian
¾ oz Light Rum
¾ oz Vodka
½ oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Sweet and Sour
3 oz Pineapple Juice
Citrus Juice
Simple Syrup
Non Holo version under the cut where you can see everyone better, but spec that alt text babes. Wouldn't want to miss the details.
Running into the worst people can really bring some bite to a party.
Inspired by @fiveminutetrash's Gar Goth Hunter design! (And a suggestion from a lil Mikkian fairy)
He actually went for it fam, too bad Tahny is gonna make him regret that.

In the story the Mandalorian Parja Bralor was musing over the strange memories of the event at this point: Part IV
I ended up drawing this and I blame my gorgeous chaos vode and friends 😂
I anyway wanted to draw the mysterious holographer Alpha-17 in his goth outfit again, so have here the godfather of the clones having fun on the hunt to get all the good, the bad and the ugly holos of that event 😎🤌🤌
And he‘s completely oblivious of a drunk mikkian Mando‘ad in the background enjoying the sight 😽😈✨
💜 So yeah, another belated GGN artwork! Context and artwork close ups under the cut!👇
I was reading innocently about the aftermath of the GAR Goth Night in the 79‘s clone bar in the story and first I almost overread it… then I noticed and went back like “waaaitaminit!?” and read again that sentence of Parja talking to Archer 😱
…
…
I went scrreeeech 😱😹😹😹💕 Aaaahh, this is about my Ayuna!
And of course I instantly had the scene from back at the bar right before my eyes! Hehe 👀😈
Close ups! 👀
☝️😽 Hm, I would say, the queen is amused 😁
@ghostymarni 😏 Why do I have the feeling that this holoshot is right at the moment when the chaos goods got released? 😈 Get ALPHA’d again, my precious vod! I hold your beer as always🍺😂 Still enjoying the art escalation you started, love!

GAR Goth Night outtake – Text remembers very well 😎
What happened before 👀
... After that scene, Crosshair and Tahny finally danced together! But clone medic Text doesn't mind to be a distraction 😎
Text: YOU OWE ME ✨❤️🔥
Tahny: *gasp*
Crosshair: Kriff off, Reg!
@crosshairs-dumb-pimp-gf 🫶 My dearest Nix, I've had this artwork in my drafts for weeks and fought with ever prickly Crosshair, because he didn't want to get drawn that little piece of sh...! I tried his snarky profile so many times and just didn't get either his nose or his mouth! I even tried to give him his toothpick, but eventually I feared that he would only hurt Tahny or himself with it being like that! 👿🔥
And you precious bb drew again one of my Owl Squad boys and it's soooo long overdue that I draw beautiful Tahny! 😱💕 I'm a bit proud of that glossy platinum hair 😎
And I hope that you like it 🤩✨🫶 Thank you so much for drawing my OCs in your gorgeous artstyle, with your beautiful glam vibe and for being my friend! 🥰🌹🥂
Have a close up on the dangerous Owl Squad trooper 😁
And on the lovebirds 🥰
Have another GAR Goth Night artwork dears 🫶 Hope you enjoy 🥰
Through the time portal they emerged in the back rooms of the bar with their cart of instruments and synths when Tore took in a deep breath and started coughing. “I was goin to make a joke-” he coughed more.
“-but it smells like tears, stale drink, and hanky-panky.” Nara finished with a grimace. “I hope they cleaned the freshers at least.”
They were already wearing most of their outfits so all they had to do was set up and do a sound check, which went smoothly. And once they were done, Nara went to check the fresher and she was surprised at how clean and decorated it was. While she was gone, the kid who ran into Tore, a young adult female Tholothian who was probably just making her way in the world, approached Tore with starry-eyed wonder. “Wow! You did not waste time!”
Tore turned towards her with his friendly smile but quickly looked away once he saw what outfit she was wearing. It was rather revealing and he instantly became uncomfortable. “Yeah! It was no problem!” He rubbed the back of his neck as he took a shy step back once he saw that she was inching closer.
Oh crap.
Here's the thing about Tore. If you ask him, he will say that he is attracted to women, but he would never be in a romantic relationship or have relations with a woman. He has his personal reasons for this decision that a rare few know about. So, in a situation like this, he's uncomfortable when women are dressed in such a fashion.
The girl played with her outfit with one hand as she slowly approached him: a smooth black and red ankle length skirt with leg slits going up to her hips, a corset and fishnets exposing most of her breasts, and an ornamental gothic style head piece going around her head and red draping beads around her fleshy tendrils. “I don't know how I can repay you for helping out on such short notice!” She sounded sincere, but it also sounded like she was hoping for more.
Tore tugged on the collar of his shirt while still looking away. “Weeeell the agreed upon payment is good enough for me!”
The girl pulled out a bottle of liquor from behind her back and presented it to him. “Can I interest you in a drink?”
Nara! Help!
Tore held up both hands and smiled awkwardly. “Look, I appreciate the offer lass, but I'm not interested. I only wanted to help.”
The girl's smile grew a bit more seductive as she stepped closer. “Oh you don't need to worry! It's just a drink!”
“Girly, listen.” The girl jumped back as Nara appeared back on stage with a very controlled neutral expression. “I know you want to show him your appreciation,” Nara walked over to them, “but he's not interested and he politely declined your offer. There will be other men here tonight who could satiate your appetite.”
The girl pouted. “Your brother is just being shy.”
“He's not my brother.” Nara smirked as she rested an arm on Tore's shoulder with her other hand on her hip.
The girl blushed really hard. “O-oh! I did-didn’t mean- I didn't know!”
Tore interrupted the girl as he poked Nara in her ribs. “We're not romantically involved either.”
Now the girl looked confused as she searched their faces. “That. Doesn't make sense.”
Tore and Nara gave each other a knowing look and chuckled. “We're just friends.”
The girl looked between them skeptically. “No one is just friends for friends sake nowadays.”
“Well,” Tore began, still facing Nara, “You're lookin at a couple of oddballs then!”
The girl held the bottle out closer to Tore. “Well, if you two are not involved, then what's the harm?”
Tore began fidgeting. “No thank you lass.”
Nara considered the bottle thoughtfully and asked to look at it, which the girl hesitantly allowed. Nara turned the bottle in her hand as she and Tore looked at it and spoke in a strange tongue together. Then Nara said, “Seeing how you wont listen to my partner or myself, maybe you'll listen to this: He's not interested. You can find someone else to woo.” Then Nara took out a knife from somewhere in her skirt and cut the neck of the bottle cleanly off as if it was soft butter, then handed the top part to the girl as she put her knife away.
The girl felt her stomach knott up from fright and indignation as she stared at the severed piece in her hands. How dare this woman do this! That bottle wasn't cheap! But the cut was perfectly smooth. And why is she speaking on his behalf? All she wanted to do was talk and maybe get tipsy to where she could have him alone. What was wrong with that? All the girls talked about it! And why not with a band member? She could get in a few shows for free! She looked back up at the woman in front of her, comebacks and insults ready to go, until they locked eyes and her resolve melted. Nara’s eyes were somehow glowing gold under her hat, her face and posture warning the younger girl from speaking of the subject again. How was that happening?!
“Word of advice, girly, seeing how you're still young and seemingly inexperienced: when someone says no, take it, and leave.” Nara handed the bottle back to the girl and the latter quickly scurried away, though not before calling out, “I only date tall guys anyway!”
“Heard that one before!” Tore yelled back. “I'm only 5’6”!”
“I think some woman called you a short king once.” Nara said as she adjusted her skirt. “Hopefully she'll learn not to be pushy and respond well to rejection. Are you sure you want to do this show?” She turned back to her friend with concern in her eyes.
Tore shuddered as he rested his head on his partner's shoulder. “I already said I would and I'm committed at this point.” He glanced up at her. “What about you?”
Nara pulled Tore into a hug. “I have your back.”
He returned the firm embrace. “And I have yours.”
Nara snickered. "Looks like you were flirted with first!"
Tore groaned. "Dang it! The bingo card war begins!"
In this case – almost. Fox isn’t good at smiling in holoshots and he is even more not used to get forced to anything, as usually he is the superior forcing everyone else to to what he wants. Hehe, poor Marshal Commander of Coruscant – welcome to the other side! 😽
Background story for this artwork is hidden in the narrative Alpha ALT text by my gorgeous writing owl twin 🦉 @eclec-tech in the naming story of clone trooper Holobomb, the shiny from the #gar goth night 🐥😁 My dear Amber, I hope you like it 🥰
Have a closer look on a stressed Fox 🦊☕️ (really trying to smile for that holo):
And Alpha-17 (satisfied like a lazy old lion 😎✨):
Personal update: RL keeps going wild, but art heals, so I'm happy that I manage some. Slow, but here and there 🫠 I'm fine. Managing like I always do 😎 somewhere and somehow ✨ I also try to catch up notifs, I love to see how many new collabs and beautiful things happen 🤩
Alpha-17 isn't quite done with the bold shiny who showed up at 79's GAR Goth Night wearing brand-spanking-new white armor, and neither is @eobe! Her art of CT-9075, now known as ███████*, is one of the funniest things ever!
Part One
If you would rather read it on AO3 <- here's the link!
*What? Did you think we were just going to GIVE you the name? Oh, no. You're going to have to read the story. (It's not in the tags either. Alpha-17 is way ahead of you.)
"The Shiny" Part Two
“CT-9075, report to Commander Fox’s office.”
Five sets of identical brown eyes landed on a sixth set that had frozen in place.
“What did you do?” one of them asked playfully.
“Nothing,” 9075 replied confusedly. “I guess I have an assignment.”
“You’ll have to borrow some armor,” another said with a grimace.
He tore down the corridor toward the command center, stopping just short of Commander Fox’s office to catch his breath before hitting the button to announce himself. The door swung open to reveal Fox’s office chair turned away from the door, its occupant busy—presumably on a datapad judging by the blue light visible on a couple of nearby surfaces. He crossed the threshold and stood at attention as he waited for his turn with the commander’s time.
“You know we age twice as fast as nat-borns. You do know that, right?”
9075 kept his nose in the air and his posture stiff. “Yes, sir!”
“So every minute you keep your superiors waiting is like taking two minutes from their lives. Isn’t that right?”
“Yes, sir,” 9075 said with conviction. “Apologies, sir. There were circumstances.”
The chair spun around, and 9075 was shocked to see that it wasn’t his new commander speaking to him. It was Alpha-17, who seemed just as surprised at the sight in front of him. “What the kriff do you mean by coming in here slow as a damn Hutt and OUT OF YOUR ARMOR?!”
9075 swallowed and opened his mouth to speak, but Alpha-17 beat him to it.
“Parade. Speak freely, and make it quick.”
9075 relaxed slightly into parade rest, not realizing how tightly he had tensed up until he forced his muscles to do something different. “I’m sorry, sir. My armor’s curing, and in my haste to get here, I didn’t have time to acquire another set. Sir.”
Alpha-17 stood, and his voice lost some of its irritation. “Paint day, is it? Making your armor part of the Guard?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Right.” Alpha-17 slowly circled the new trooper like a predator. “That’s important. Making connections with your fellow troopers. Your brothers in arms.”
It wasn’t a question, but something in the older man’s tone suggested 9075 should respond as if it were. “I believe it is, sir.”
Alpha-17 plucked a holoframe from Fox’s desk and spoke low. “It is. The men you train with and fight beside are your family. I’ve fought beside countless men in this war. Trained a lot of them. Some of the men I’m proudest to have trained were at 79’s last night. I don’t get to see them very often, so last night I gathered them together for a holo.” He leaned in closely to the shiny’s ear from behind. “Care to guess who I’m referring to?”
9075 swallowed hard, recalling with a sudden chill how the commando behind him had looked straight at him after taking that holo. “The commanders, sir?”
“The commanders. Six men as hard to keep in one place as a litter of freshly weaned massiff pups. Between Fox not wanting to be there and Mayday chasing a beskar skirt half the night, I was convinced I wouldn’t be able to herd them all in for a group shot. But then, it happened, and I got the perfect shot. Except, it wasn’t perfect, was it, 9075? There was someone else in my perfect shot. Someone who wasn’t supposed to be there.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Someone who didn’t earn it.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Someone who had the stones to not only holobomb the shot by looking right at my datapad but also silently brag about it by holding his fingers up in a victory sign!”
“Yes, sir.”
Alpha-17 held up the holo to 9075’s face, and there he was, peeking out from behind Commander Cody’s shoulder with two fingers in the air as casually as if it were a daily occurrence.
“What. Were. You. Thinking?”
“Do I still have permission to speak freely, sir?”
“Yes.”
“I didn’t set out to be in that holo, sir. I just happened to be sitting there when it happened.” He stared at the holo in front of him and sighed. “I guess I was a little starstruck when I saw all the commanders standing together like that. And when I noticed there was a holo being taken, I didn’t want to ruin it by being a dull nobody in the background.” He shrugged. “The victory sign was me trying to fit into it.”
Alpha-17 set the frame back on Fox’s desk and crossed his arms. “And why were you spying on the other patrons in the bar?”
The young man’s eyes widened slightly. His “stealth reports” weren’t as stealthy as he had hoped.
“I had never been to a ‘goth night’ before. I’d never visited a bar or been around civilians either. I wanted to take notes, sir.”
Alpha-17 had, of course, read the kid’s file. It wasn’t hard to find, as he was the only new trooper who had left the barracks that night. He knew that tenacity and observational skills were a large part of why 9075 had been assigned to the Guard, and it gave him an idea of what to do with the eager shiny in front of him.
“Since you’re so fond of seeing the way things work, you’ll be observing Guard headquarters for the next week as you take over sanitation detail for the cleaning droids. The barracks, the mess, the kennels, the latrines, all of it. If there’s a microbe anywhere it’s not supposed to be, I expect you to kill it.”
The “yes, sir” this time was slightly deflated.
“Dismissed.”
CT-9075 turned for the door, but Alpha-17 suddenly had a belated thought. He had taken dozens of holos at 79’s the previous night and didn’t know who some of the people were, particularly the civilians. But this shiny trooper did.
“Before you start,” he said quickly, making 9075’s turn for the door a 360-degree spin, “I want a copy of all the notes you took last night sent to this station. I want to see if your skills are as good as your file suggests, Holobomb.”
There was no smile on the older man’s face or any indication that he was giving him a compliment, but hearing the great Alpha-17 use the word “good” to describe his skills gave 9075 a sudden boost of confidence. But that boost turned into a hyperfuel-powered surge when he realized what else had been said.
“Sir? Did you just give me my—”
“Do you not know what ‘dismissed’ means, trooper?”
“I do, sir! Thank you, sir.”
He waited until he heard the door slide shut behind him before letting loose what was likely the biggest smile of his life.
He called me Holobomb. I have a name. Alpha-kriffing-17 himself gave me a name! I’m Holobomb!
He all but skipped down the corridor as the possibilities swirled in his head.
I should paint a holo puck on my armor with a hologram of a bomb coming out of it. Or maybe fingers making a victory sign! I wonder what the others will call me…Bomber? Holo? HB?
It was almost enough to make him forget he was on sanitation duty. Almost. Three days into scrubbing latrines, scraping things off the mess hall floor, and having hounds get overly friendly with his leg, and Holobomb started to wonder if maybe he shouldn’t have made the choice to be included in the commander holo at 79’s for GAR Goth Night after all. But those thoughts were fleeting. He was glad he chose to flash a victory sign that night. To him, it was a victory. He knew this week would pass and fade in his mind, but the memory of Alpha-17 giving him his name and having the first holo ever taken of him be in the same shot as six of the GAR’s best would stay with him forever.
I keep forgetting to tag the taglings!

Gotcha, Choy :3 @feral-ferrule (the outfit is not quite right, but I'm not that good)
P.S. I don't look for piece of art specifically. I usually look for something completely different, it comes to me on its own.
Artist's Note: This was a difficult one to make, but just the same, I want to put something important in here--though I may be Pakeha as anything, the actor who brought us Jango Fett, Boba Fett, and a great many Clone Troopers is most certainly NOT.
Therefore, rather than use the image of three white boys with their cardboard 'Beskar' costumes colored in by magic marker, I relied on at least one haka photo of Temuera Morrison to get this done. My photographic references will be under the cut as usual, but for now, on with the story...
It was a little difficult to concentrate with a near-total stranger knocking him in at least two places...yet just the same, something in the back of Commander Miles' mind told him that this spot was certainly the place to be, especially with at least two other known Mandalorians watching his every move.
Small wonder, then, that this part was ready to see this through to the end, even if the rest of him was not...!
@wyvernsrus @littletroggo @small-ratchild and anybody else looking for more Goth Night fun and games!

just one more thing--I am still learning how to do human figures in general as well as the right way to make Clone Troopers for Star Wars, so if it's not 100% perfect, chances are I'm in full agreement and will do a lot of practicing for this in the near future. thank you and goodnight. ^^
