the cultural obsession the U.S. has with cheating is truly fascinating to me. genuinely seems like a good chunk of the population thinks that cheating on a spouse is like....the worst thing a person can do short of murder. which is truly crazy if u think about it!!!! because in actuality...SO many people do cheat. like mind boggling numbers. just even the idea of "cheaters" as a specific Group of Bad People who will ALWAYS cheat on their partners and they're BAD and they're totally a separate type of person from all the good normal husbands and wives, is such a naive view of human behavior lmao. but idk tbf im probably one of the least monogamously minded people who also still practices monogamy...to me it's like yeah monogamy IS ridiculous and weird if u think about it but also in so many ways it's farrrrr easier than being poly. sorry but poly people are so messy and embarrassing and they're no better at maintaining real and honest connections than the monogamous people. but i'm simply not interested enough in having multiple partners to bother with any of that
