Garlic (ofcourse) Parmesan Breadsticks
igredients:
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
1-1/2 cups warm water (110° to 115°)
2 tablespoons sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted, divided
1/2 teaspoon salt
4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Garlic salt
Grated Parmesan cheese
Marinara or spaghetti sauce, warmed, optional
1) In a bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar; let stand for 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup butter, salt and 2 cups flour; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 45 minutes.
2) Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; roll into a 24x10-in. rectangle. Cut dough in half lengthwise, then into 5-in. x 1-in. strips. Twist each strip and place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets.
3) Brush strips with remaining butter; sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan cheese. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 20 minutes
4) Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to wire racks. If desired, serve with marinara or spaghetti sauce for dipping.
Restaurant Review (Quick)
There weren’t really any meals with garlic in them so I ordered a vanilla milkshake and put garlic in myself. (Everywhere I go I always bring a little bag of garlic....you never know right ;) ) It was very good would probably go back to try this combination again. I give it 3 out of 5 garlics.
meme 👏review 👏
Normally I would give this meme a 6/10 because the whole drake meme is a bit overused but because it has garlic in it I would give it a 9/10
hmmmm yes I definitely would like to taste this juice ;)
Restaurant Review (Orient)
Last week I went to Orient in Pelt and ordered a small kebob with extra garlic sauce. It was..just....wow. It was everything I could have asked for so amazing, perfect, it felt like I was in heaven or even higher. it tasted like God himself was peeing on my tongue. 5 out of 5 stars.
welcome back darlings to cooking with the garlyckies!! (Crispy Potato Cake with Garlic and Thyme Ingredients)
. 3 pounds (2-3) baking potatoes, peeled
. 2+2 tablespoons butter, divided
. 1/4 cup olive oil . 4 cloves of garlic, minced
. 2 medium size shallots, finely minced
. coarse sea salt
. black pepper
. 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped Instructions
1) .Place the potatoes into a large pot of salted water. Bring it to a boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes. At this point, they will not be fully cooked.
2) .Take the potatoes out of the water, and allow them to cool for 10 minutes. Slice them into 1/8 inch thick slices.
3) .Pre-heat the broiler. Line a large baking sheet with paper towels. Set aside.
4) Heat 1-tablespoon olive oil and 1/2 tablespoon butter in a non-stick skillet in medium heat, until sizzling hot. Add in a tablespoon of minced shallot, and cook while stirring it constantly with a wooden spoon, for 30 seconds. Add in 1/4 teaspoon of the minced garlic and cook for 10-15 seconds.
5) .Line the bottom of the skillet with as many as potato slices as it can fit and cook 2-3 minutes on each side. Once cooked, transfer them to the baking sheet lined with paper towels. Lightly sprinkle them with coarse salt.
6) .Discard the remaining oil, garlic, and shallot in the skillet. Repeat the same process with the remaining oil, shallot, and garlic until all potato slices are seared.
7) .Generously butter the bottom and sides of a 6-inch cast iron skillet.
8) .Line the bottom with a single layer of the potato slices, sprinkle them with black pepper 1/4 teaspoon (or more if you like) chopped thyme. Add another layer until all potato slices are layered. Make sure to press each layer down using the back of a wooden spoon as you go. Pressing them down is a very important step, as doing so is what keeps the cake together.
9) .Place it under the broiler until it is browned and crispy, about 7-9 minutes.
10) .Once baked, allow it to cool for 5 minutes on the kitchen counter. Invert it onto a plate. If you’d like, sprinkle it with more chopped thyme. 11.Slice it into wedges and serve immediately.
mmmm yes this is nice uhhhhhhmmmm
