I feel I ought to clarify so everyone knows exactly what kinds of ill-advised clothing I like vs. what kind of ill-advised clothing Gatty likes

ANYWAY

most of the posts here are a bit tongue in cheek BUT NOT THIS ONE, OK. this one is about MY FAVORITE FASHUN HOUSE, gibbous

that will link to their about page, which is all images so it's sort of irritating to try to read

they're kind of twee and a little bit eyerollingly "CLOTHING HAS A SOUL" but I love them??? SO MUCH. like ... I JUST CAN'T EVEN DESCRIBE. IF I HAD TO ONLY WEAR THINGS MADE BY ONE... miniature fashion house in an aluminum box with 4 people and some cats and paint everywhere

sadly their things are far too expensive for me, but they do have a thing where if you send them a garment they will MAKE IT AWESOME/embellish it for you that is much less costly, and I have been considering that ..... ANYWAY. whether or not one can afford the clothing items I think the pictures of them are really great and

THEY ~INSPIRE~ ME *_* its basically my dream to.. I dont know work for them or run a tiny weird clothing shop which sells their garments. I guess.

it's all like.... GLAMOROUS FOREST SPIRIT STREET URCHIN FASHION or something I don't even, like, and even the backgrounds and weird trinkets and props in the photos are amazing and just make it look like they all live in this AMAZING ALTERNATE REALITY and .... BASICALLY IT IS PERFECT, OKAY. in my head they are a dazzling troupe of wandering players who frolic through universes performing confusing ...performances

they also share my attitudes towards colors & patterns (ALL OF THEM AT ONCE) and symmetry (NOT EVER)

ANYWAY

so I'm going to post a fuckton of gibbous spams here now in lieu of making words happen which explain how much I love them so let's all cross our fingers that the cut text thing works..

How I feel about Patterns

This is how I feel about patterns:

tartan maxi skirt + black t-shirt with blue/purple diamonds.

I like to think of this outfit as a slow burner. At first you think it might be reasonable. Until you start to pay attention and realise that none of the colours are actually anywhere close to each other, and your eyes start to burn.

ProTip: skirt from charity shop, zipper broken, so with a length of tartan (not matching) shoelace and a pair of scissors I transformed it into a lace up skirt.

T-shirt from F21, which has just opened in London. Fine purveyor of hideous shit. Highly recommended for all your fluorescent mismatching needs A++

guys I have been trying in vain to locate a place to purchase neon lace leggings like Gatty has got in the first post TO NO AVAIL

however

I just looked up 'stretch lace' and discovered that the fabric itself COMES IN A VARIETY OF EXCITING COLORS AND PATTERNS

my favorite is 'lime paisley print stretch lace with gold metallic threads on it'
