This is the beginnings of a house I am building in Hunt TX, the stone work is done and next year i will return to build weathertight the building!
Oregon is such a curious mystery.
Our model of the pallet shower house
Building minature pallets for a model of the passive solar heated shower house, Eric and I are building at the Upper Rouge Organic farm in prospect OR
The new portable darkroom tent :) complete with safelight
A few photographs from my new portfolio, I plan on rebuilding the box with some old salvaged fir 1X12's i found. Once the box is built I would like to redo the interior with a deep red almost blackish velvet, unfortunately I don't have the funds right now so padded cotton will have to do. This Portfolio houses 11 framed images . I will repost better documentation when I have it.

Finally a picture of my home built large format camera which is set up to photograph paper negatives using available lighting.

been working on documenting the process in which i make photographs
A fun project experimenting with darkroom manipulation and abstraction from a year ago.

These are the first experiments with extreme long exposure, that eventually led to the building of the process i am working on right now. This was about 2 years ago, they are two week exposures.

Breakthrough just in time.
I acquired 25 sheets of grade 5 fiber paper from a friend, and used it in my camera to photograph my negatives, I had the most luck to date with contrast in the positives. the camera is fully functioning and can enlarge a 1inch object to 8X10 sharply. Unfortunately they do not make grade 5 paper anymore as far as i can tell, so I am sensing a lot more experimentation with developers and heat. I think if I find a way to safely heat a very concentrated paper developer, I will be able to bring in enough contrast into the photograph on grade 4 paper, which is still available, to account for the 2000 kelvin difference between the tungsten bulbs in enlargers (which color filters and graded paper are designed for) and daylight. If i can't, hopefully there will be enough contrast that i will be able to over expose and then use a dilute potassium ferricyanide to bleach the whites back in without affecting the rich blacks to much. I will post some pictures of work in progress soon, and there is a show coming up at 1111 8th st, San Francisco.
