i loooove this look for spike
okay okay I knooooowwwww vampirism probably fixed William’s eyesight but like. What if it didn’t though. What if spike just refuses to wear glasses because he’s a stubborn idiot.
Obsessed with how many people in the notes have pointed out why this is probably true lmao (Dalton, Angel wearing reading glasses in the comics, Spike holding documents at length to read them as if he’s farsighted). Like I was joking what do you MEAN I’m probably right.
BEST OF BTVS: Dawn Summers — Season Six
when i'm watching pre-season 5 i'm always imagining where little dawn is. she would've been 11 at the start of btvs. 11! imagine little baby dawnie! i cry!
OH!
Thinking more about Buffy/Faith/Spike. I'm imagining this circa season 7, which makes things easier since none of them are evil. It would still be a mess, though.
Buffy'd freak out about being with either of them, let alone both at once, but she could come to terms with it. Spike might be jealous of Buffy and Faith's relationship for some time, but would hopefully get over it, maybe once he became closer with Faith. Faith on the other hand might be more comfortable in a poly relationship than a monogamous one; it would feel less serious to her, less scary if she can pretend she's just Buffy's side piece.
Spike and Faith would have more of a friends-with-benefits situation with each other, whereas they're both in a romantic relationship with Buffy, but they would legitimately be friends and hang out or hook up without Buffy when she was busy or didn't want to do what they were doing (i.e. crimes).
Faith and Spike would also annoy Buffy so much. They'd make a competition of it, see who could piss her off more or get punched in the face first. They'd tease each other all the time too, of course. All three of them would be constantly bantering and ganging up on each other.
Its just hitting me how throughout the show till s5 all spike wanted to see was buffy die and when in The gift he actually sees her dead he completely falls to the floor crying……..
disapproval (x)
Something about uhhh Buffy saying to Angel “when you kiss me I want to die” vs her being extremely suicidal and choosing to kiss Spike 3 times and going against everything she thinks is moral and good while doing so because it was the only thing that made her feel alive. Yea 🙂.
Something about how Angels affection made her want to Die but Spike’s affection made her want to Live.
BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SAID ACAB
Bonus:
thinking about the parallels between “prophecy girl” and “chosen.” in both episodes, buffy willingly descends into an underground danger–the sunken church, the hellmouth. both occupied by ancient and visually inhuman vampires, who have spent the season trapped there.
but in “prophecy girl,” buffy descends alone. she dies, and when she eventually emerges it is into the night. her descent is about her accepting an unfair fate. but in “chosen” she descends accompanied by her reformed shadow-selves and an army of girls she’s empowered. this time she descends in order to take back her fate, and emerges into the sunlight. it turns “chosen” into this really lovely bookend, if you see it as responding to “prophecy girl.” before buffy grew up, before she owned herself and her power, before she loved her shadow, all of those things threatened to consume her. fate, darkness, etc. but by the end, it’s light that consumes darkness instead. she has the ability not just to bravely accept her situation–to endure the hells of young adulthood–but actually change it. and the parallels with “prophecy girl” really drive this character evolution home.
Could’ve been the start of an elaborate porno
Well!!!
cordelia chase ily so much. so iconic they needed two characters to replace you
Buffy the Vampire Slayer – 3.12: Helpless
Buffy being terrible at lying and making up cover stories will never not be awesome to me. Like right the gym had asbestos, you’re in a band, the minister is preforming a c section
