This was my design for Venusaur on Detective Pikachu. This was during a period where I was free to explore a more naturalistic approach to the Pokemon before the final style was established. I’m super proud of this piece, especially the toes for some reason. Looking back though its super clear that this would be too scary and monstery for the tone of the movie.
