It is with a heavy heart that I report the loss of cult actor Robert Z’Dar. He was hospitalized after an appearance at Pensacon this weekend and passed away last night. He was 64.

Z’Dar is best known for his titular role in the Maniac Cop trilogy. He also appeared in Tango & Cash, Soultaker, Future War and Samurai Cop. He also worked on the upcoming slasher throwback Easter Sunday, on which I was fortunate enough to serve as an executive producer.
