Trying to tan my white-ass back on Koh Samet, Thailand.
Sorry for the huge delay in updates. My iPhone got hosed while I was hiking the Erawan Falls.
Rollin' large here in Ayutthaya.
Whatchu lookin' at?
Rainbow over Pai.
Post morning motorbike joyride through the beautiful Pai Valley. Choconut Banana Pancake at Witching Well. My middle finger salute to the Southbeach diet that I was on in Prince Rupert ;)
Pai nightlife summed up in a single photo.
Not a bad view to go along with a delicious mango shake. Overlooking the lush Pai Valley, Thailand.
I decided to share my wonderful Shizuoka tea with the owner of a tea bar here in Pai, Thailand. He loved it! Thank you so much Asuka :)
Pleasure in Pain
Just had an amazing Thai massage here in Pai. Just under $5 gets you an hour of forced yoga positions and Muay Thai elbows to your back and shoulders that result in stepping outside on cloud nine. Wish I could do it every day.
My old standby drink in Thailand: Fresh pineapple shake.
Permanent road sign in Pai. Apparently this road is dangerous?
I've been waiting for this: Khao Soi (chicken curry noodle soup) which is a specialty of northern Thailand and Burma.
One of the many temple cats at Wat Pho, aka. home of the reclining Buddha. Bangkok, Thailand.
Checked out a really interesting exhibition today in Bangkok called "Dialogue In The Dark." The entire exhibit is completely in the dark and tries to mimic daily life tasks for blind and visually impaired people. Participants walk a set course lead by a blind guide who helps perform such tasks as going shopping in a market or just navigating through a park. It was really amazing to be able to immerse yourself in the perspective of the visually impaired and to understand how they deal with a world designed and built for those of us born with normal sight.
Route 66 now. Bangkok, Thailand.
First meal in Thailand. Green Curry Chicken and Bamboo Shoots with Pork.
A sign of the times? Seen around Yakuin, Fukuoka.
