Tutorial, STARTO !
STEP 1 -- this is completely up to preference, but I personally use this as my canvas size ! Not too big, and not too small for the icons.
STEP 2 -- Choose your shape ! Since for this example it’s a request from a good friend, they wanted a hexagon ! You can do this a couple ways, either:
THE CUSTOM SHAPE TOOL ! - You can find custom shape packs online, and they’re pretty handy. It’s no different from the circle tool or any of the others, you can just make a shape of your choosing.
Because I don’t have a Hexagon shape, however, there’s option two:
BEING A LAZY SHIT AND LOOKING FOR A RENDER ON GOOGLE OR DEVIANTART ! - Literally, all I did was google ‘hexagon render’ and got this. For the record too, it doesn’t have to be one pure color since it’s going to be covered up - so honestly, you could use renders of flowers or butterflies and things as the shape. ‘PNG PACKS’ on deviantart are great.
Okay, so you’ve got your shape. What you do next is easy.
STEP THREE -- copy in the picture you want to be your icon, right click it, and hit ‘create clipping mask’.
Boy howdy would u look at that,
Now you have a shape icon, holy shit son. We aren’t done yet though.
STEP FOUR -- ADD IN A PSD AND FLOWERY SHIT .
You can probably get a psd just from google or make one yourself, but just throw it on over the other layers.
After that? It’s just your creativity.
Look up renders of things, make shapes --- copy and paste those fuckers in. If you want them in the background? You put the layer under the shape your icon is clipped too. You want shit to overlay like that snake fucker there? Then you put them overtop. Just make sure it’s all under the PSD folder, but otherwise, you’re good.
The only real trick that I did was use Stroke. That’s it.

This guide is not meant to be a compilation of facts about Kagerou Project, but a guide to those who don’t know where to start in the series and basically a roadmap through literally all of it. And most importantly, it will make sense to those who both have and haven’t watched Mekakucity Actors before reading this! Now, if at any time you get really confused and don’t feel like you can move on, you’re always welcome to send me a message on tumblr and I’ll try to help you out personally! So new title! Imaginary Reload! And this chapter is a stand off between Kuroha and Mary, who uses all three of the snakes during their talk and capturing him for the battle ahead! That’s what it seems to be, but despite all seriousness, I can’t translate Kuroha’s reasoning properly (again). So sorry, I don’t like how I translated it because it’s not accurate. So to put it out there, I won’t give permission to use my translation for your own scanlation.
I have changed the way I used the watermarks btw, but I made a mistake and used blue instead of grey (f.lux was on and it made the colours on my screen erase a lot of the blue colours so it looked gray while I was putting the watermarks on). Feel free to comment how it looks now and I’ll try to do better in making it readable! >.<
