the designs for charlie (left) and sammy (right) that me and bunnee have made for our fnaf au :V we did a thing where we combined the novel’s canon, the game’s canon, and our own headcanons lolol,, but yea i wanna share more about it at some point so expect that i guess maybe!!!!

assorted headcanon dump because i love samuel:

learned how to skateboard when he was in middle school and has only ever been “okay” at it. he can get from one place to another but tricks are off the table and if he starts to go too fast he will absolutely take a spill

he and charlie are tauruses and i feel like while charlie gets the hard-working and tenacious part of being a taurus sammy ( especially when he was younger ) reflected the affectionate and comfort-seeking side of it. he was one of those kids who could not fall asleep for a nap if he wasn’t actively being cuddled or cuddling someone ( and no, stuffed animals mostly didn’t count )

sammy’s alwasy been more of a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy, a little bit good at a lot of things but never actually figuring out if he had a “calling” and what it would be. he’s the kind of guy who’d go to college and be an undeclared major for a good 2 and a half years before finally picking something just so he could graduate with some kind of degree 

he’s incredibly romantic but very much so in the “small, meaningful gestures and quiet quality time” way instead of the “large declarations and prom-posal banners and confetti on valentine’s day” kind of way

there’s a deep intensity of feeling in sammy that isn’t necessarily easy to see in sammy. he doesn’t have thin skin but he does feel things very deeply and i think it can sometimes cause him to harbor grudges or resentments without ever trying to talk about the things that are bothering him or people he thinks have wronged him

as novel canon states, he’s a huge momma’s boy... i feel very strongly about sammy being the kind of kid who could be acting like an actual demon child but the second his mom walks into the room he’s an angel. when he was very young he would follow her constantly around the house, up the stairs, outside into the backyard, and then back again. he respects and loves his mom SO much and even as a teenager/in his 20s he’s not embarrassed to hug her goodbye or let her fix his clothes or kiss him on the cheek before he leaves

personal style is very... comfortable. if he has to wear any kind of uniform for a job, he will be wearing it with as much disgrace as possible while still being able to get away with it being appropriate for work. outside of work he’s very slouchy in the t-shirt department ( definitely stole some old tees from his mom and dad, especially if they’re cool and retro ). 90% of the time he’s in jeans. he’s definitely slept in jeans, multiple times ( very cursed )

very sad that novel sammy didn’t get to grow up in hurricane, i feel like he would’ve really vibed with the house backing up to a bunch of trees. he gives me very lowkey nature-y vibes. he loves going on walks and hikes with inappropriate footwear ( sammy wearing an actual pair of bunny slippers that look 80 years old ), especially if he can drag someone else along on them too ( jessica in a pair of kitten heels, carlton wearing the ugliest flip flops you’ve ever seen in your life, lamar in a pair of almost-new shiny brown loafers -- )

    adults don’t usually see ghosts -- theo’s not sure exactly why. maybe they just don’t believe. maybe they’re not paying enough attention, too preoccupied with their own children, the alive ones who are yelling and running and screaming as their birthday cake is brought out by glamrock freddy himself. maybe, though, adults don’t see because they just don’t care.

    but this man sees him. in the dark underground of the pizzaplex, amongst the strewn animatronic parts and forgotten pizzeria decorations, this man sees him. this man recognizes him.

    theo recognizes him, too.

    “you were friends with him,” theo says. his voice is cold, sharpening the air around him into something frigid and brittle. an image of the tattered picture flashes into his head for a moment -- two men, clad in soft, yellow mascot costumes, cradling the head of their costume in one arm with the other slung across each other’s shoulders, smiling into the camera.

    one of those men had been william afton. 

    theo glares as he stares down the other one in front of him. time changed some parts of him, his rumpled clothes, his unkempt hair. it didn’t change his face, his eyes ones perhaps theo might recognize in his own face, if he looked a little harder --

    “you knew him. ‘nd you didn’t stop him.” the boy’s resentment deepens, dead air stirring up dust and old confetti. his face is too young to hold so much anger but that doesn’t stop it from etching itself into the downslash of his mouth, the crease between watery eyes that refuse to cry. “that makes you jus’ as bad as he is.” / @fazbearentinc
