Raina was really regretting her decision to not bring a sweater with her, because it got colder and colder the later it got. There were plenty of booths with coffee and hot chocolate, but none of them smelled right (which of course made Raina sound crazy, but hot chocolate was sacred and it had to be right). She was about to give up when she finally walked past the right booth. Raina listened to the boy talk and smiled at him,Ā āI wouldnāt mind both, honestly. My friends ditched me a while ago, because no one had hot chocolate that smelled right, but I told them Iād find it and I did. Congrats, by the way. And, your costume isĀ really cool. I was trying to go for a Posh Spice look but I think my hairās too long,ā she laughed and handed him money for the hot chocolate.
āSeriously? Thatās kinda crummy,ā His mouth twisted into a brief pout at the thought, even as he went through the motions of spooning a generous serving of hot chocolate into the largest cup he could get his hands on. (He had a weakness for people he found even remotely cute, that much more of one when they were equally as nice).Ā āItās on the house, donāt sweat it. Iāll put a dollar in at some point and itāll be solid. Consider it a thank you for putting up with me, the King of the Dorks.ā He laughed brightly, hoping to convey that he was half jokingā though he was keenly aware that not many of his friends had taken the same pains with a costume theyād wear for a few days and then toss into the backs of their respective closets.Ā āI think you look great but Iāve gotta be real and say itās been a million years since Iāve seen anything Spice Girls related, so I might be a little misinformed.ā He passed her the hot chocolate with a sheepish tilt of his head.Ā
