Falsettos During Quarantine

This is kinda an AU where everyone is alive and the same ages and stuff. Just imagine if it happened during 1981, except all of the technology and stuff exists. Also this is part 2.

Mendel would live like his best life cause he doesn't have to see people anymore, but he would also have to do online therapy sessions and he would pretend to glitch out so that he could get out of them. On an appointment with Diane Caroline, he would tape a picture of himself over the camera and play a recording of him going “mhm, yeah, ok, sure,...” while taking a nap. One time the picture fell off and Caroline started crying while shutting off the webcam. Also he has to frequently get Jason to help with the technology.

Trina is pretty calm. She works out a lot and she and Mendel have taken up gardening. They plant tomatoes, carrots, and some herbs. She also cooks a lot, which Mendel and Jason love. She’s one of those people who will learn 50 different hobbies just to keep herself busy.

Whizzer gets really bored really fast. He tried to help Jason with his online schoolwork one time but was completely clueless (“Yeah  I don’t know what it is, but that’s just a bunch of numbers and shit. That’s not math.”). He also would be doing a crazy amount of online shopping. During Marvin’s  online work meetings he would poke his head in the room and say things like

“MARVIN ARE YOU DONE, THE *insert store here* SALE ENDS SOON, I NEED THE COMPUTER!!” Marvin would point at his meeting and Whizzer would do an over dramatic sigh.

Marvin: "No. and shopping is not that important"

Whizzer: "Regarding your outfit, yes it is", then he would strut out of the room. Also whenever he goes out to get groceries, he matches his mask to his outfit because he is the epitome of style.

Marvin also gets pretty bored. He hates having to do work online, and he plays chess with Jason a pretty big amount. He would eat so much linguini that he would start to grow tired of it. Whizzer makes him play Wii racquetball with him and Marvin does horribly. He would have to do work at home and spend the day doing Skypes and participating to video conferences, which are being constantly interrupted by his partner and his son.

Short Falsettos Headcannon

Ok so after the baseball game when Whizzer and Marvin had just started going out again,  Whizzer asks

“Who were those two women sitting next to you at the baseball game?”, to which Marvin replies with

“Our lesbian friends” Whizzer kinda nods before turning back to Marvin

“Our?”

“They love you already”

Falsettos Whizzer Headcannon

Part Four: Now comes the part of our story, that gets a little bit sad (haha whoops wrong musical). Ok so months after Whizzer died, Marvin for some reason decides to clean out the freezer (Whizzer was the organized one so he did the cleaning most of the time). Maybe it reminded him of Whizzer, I don't know. Anyway, he’s cleaning out the fridge and behind some frozen chicken nuggets (Which Marvin loved) and some other stuff, were boxes of pre made frozen meals (go read the other parts of this head cannon if you don't understand). He stares at the for a few seconds before realizing that Whizzer was no amazing cook. What came next was sort of a mix of laughing and crying, because this was such a Whizzer thing to do.

Falsettos Whizzer Headcannon

PART THREE: One time, Whizzer made dinner himself rather than just heating up a premade frozen meal. He was actually pretty proud of it. When Marvin got home from work, as usual, they ate dinner. After a few bites, Marvin looks up at Whizzer and says something like “Whizz, this tastes a bit different than usual.” Whizzer looks up from his plate, with a sort of grin (cause he’s proud of his cooking) and says “Oh yeah? How so?” to which Marvin responds,  “I don't know, but it’s not as good as usual” Whizzer looks back down at his plate with a sort of oh look. They finish dinner and Whizzer texts Jason (Who knows about the whole frozen meal situation) about what happened and Jason is like Nice try Whizzer :/. Anyway, later they get food poisoning and Marvin is like “Whizzer what did you do to the food!?” and Whizzer mumbles something along the lines of “Oh uhhhh I just heated up a premade meal” and Marvin is like  “Oh, well I like it better when you actually cook.” MIND YOU, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN HE DID ACTUALLY COOK, HE USUALLY ACTUALLY HEATS UP A PREMADE FROZEN MEAL.

Falsettos Whizzer Headcannon

Part 2:  After Marvin and Whizzer get back together, as soon as Marvin goes to work after they're moved back in together, Whizzer goes to the store and gets a bunch of frozen meals, including LiNgUiNi. He prepares them as he used to, making a mess in the kitchen to make it seem as if he spent a while actually making the food. Marvin comes home to the smell of fresh “cooked” linguini and walks into the dining room to find Whizzer sitting there with the food, some candles, and two glasses of wine. Upon seeing this, a huge smile comes across Marvin’s face. “Aww Whizz you remembered!” and they have a wholesome romantic dinner.

PART ONE: Ok so Whizzer actually can’t cook. He just reheats frozen premade meals. He’ll even make the kitchen sort of messy to make it look like worked so hard on it. Marvin of course is too oblivious to notice. Jason is actually a pretty ok cook and tries to help Whizzer whenever he comes over, but it is all in vain. Cordelia and Whiz actually took a professional cooking class together, but Whizzer just sat there drinking wine an insulting the other people’s clothes (“What is that, wash and wear??”) while Cordelia cooks and tries not to laugh. They have fun together.
