Hearing the cast recording of I’m Breaking Down for the first time honestly surprised me since on stage, Trina’s anger and despair over Marvin cheating on her is kinda played up for comedy (even though it acknowledges that Trina’s 100% justified to feel that way) but in the cast recording the poor woman sounds DEVASTATED 😭
