ava looks so HAPPY taking care of tranquilized!beatrice... she's smiling SO big and looking at bea with so much, like, amused but deep earnest fondness, it kills me

like obviously ava isn't happy about the tranquilizer dart per se, but seeing beatrice so carefree? so light? being the one who gets to help bea, the one who half carries her around and holds her up, and makes sure she's alright, keeps an eye on her the way bea's been doing for ava all this time? yeah you can SEE how much this means to ava, the delight and the pleasure she takes in this role. and you know, i bet this is part of what she wanted out of her whole "get bea drunk" plan in ep 1. the opportunity for bea to break loose, to shake the weight off of her shoulders for a bit - and for ava to be the person bea trusts to keep her safe
