I don’t really GET the point of cloning Laura if you don’t have the healing factor… Like I just feel like the premise of this story and the cyborg angle is a little…well…stupid.

also I kind of question if Tamaki read anything past ANW, because her understanding of Laura’s backstory is REALLY shaky.

Laura was part of the Facility, NOT Alchemax. The trigger scent and Laura were created by Dr. Sutter and Zander Rice; not Dr. Chandler. Maybe he’s just falsely taking the credit for Laura-but if that’s the case you think Tamaki would make it clear that he’s lying.

Overall, I’m just really underwhelmed with this story. It’s a lesser version of ‘the Four Sisters’ (and I don’t even LIKE ANW that much) and I’m kind of left wondering about A LOT of the continuity (last week it was Gabby saying she killed others without that ever being shown). Overall I’m just not impressed.

Repeat after me:

Adding backstory to less developed characters is NOT ignoring continuity. It’s doing your dang job as a writer.

But, in case you don’t care about that, here’s some continuity! 

In 4 sisters, it was established that Chandler was unable to (knowingly) recreate the healing factor. He didn’t deliberately leave it out. Like before, he was unable to do it.

Also in 4 sisters, Chandler speaks of a “predecessor” that acquired Laura’s DNA that he used to make the sisters. Given that, it makes sense that Chandler might have worked with the facility. Also, in the world of science, the heads of the project, ie Rice and Sutter, will be credited with the creation of something, even if the actual formula was worked on by many other people. A young Chandler was probably one of those people.

Finally, it was never specified that Gabby DIDN’T kill anyone. We don’t know much about her life before Laura, except that she was an assassin. And I believe we are all versed on what assassins do. You can’t complain about how a character isn't developed enough and then criticize the process in which a writer is taking the time to develop a character in the next breath.

This is in response to a very old thing I saw on a Cbr forum but saying that someone is “too young” to be gay because they still find butt jokes funny is really just thinly veiled casual homophobia under the guise of shoddy logic.

First of all, the “too young” logic doesn’t work, as nobody brings that up when a  teenage character is straight. Also, if finding butt jokes funny meant that people didn’t have the ability to be self introspective in regards to who they are, then nobody could be self introspective. Let’s face it. We all like butt jokes.
