Cut for length cause I got really into writing this!

You walk into the dining hall slouching and looking around nervously, not really wanting to be seen. You take your seat in the corner and close your eyes to take a few deep breaths to calm down. When you open your eyes, your best friend Kazuichi is sitting next to you.

“Hey, what’s up? You having a bad day there?” Kazuichi asks, putting his arm around you. “I got something cool to show you no matter what. I made a little robot pet for you and one for Peko, too!” 

You smile a little and lean against him. “I’m feeling really dysphoric, I hate it.” you say. “But I have to eat something, so that I can, you know...make it through the day.”

“Yeah? I kinda figured it might be that. I got some food in my bag, come to my room so I can show you your new best robot friend!” Kazuichi says, pulling you with him enthusiastically. “Obviously, I’m still your best human friend, cause I fix all your stuff and try to stick around for you.”

“You are my main source of random electronic devices and also physical affection and distractions, it’s true.” you say. “And I got you a sharps container, I guess. Trans rights for us both.”

“You give me so much more! You’re the coolest friend ever, man. And that’s saying a lot, because I’m also a really cool friend.” Kazuichi says with a laugh.

You can’t help but smile back. Kazuichi opens the door to his room, and you walk through and look around.

“Okay, close your eyes and put your hands out!” Kazuichi says, sitting you down on the nearest chair. You do as he says and quickly feel a warm metallic object that seems to roughly have four wheels...paws? And some sort of a tail.

You open your eyes and see the cutest robot cat you’ve ever seen. It also might be the only one you’ve ever seen, but it was clearly made with care and attention, and it’s the perfect size to run around your entire small room or your desk. “Thank you, Kazuichi.” you say with a smile.

“Yeah, of course! Here, let’s try them out.” Kazuichi says, placing it on the floor and giving you a remote control. The two of you play around with the cat for a while, and you quickly become engaged with it and stop thinking about your dysphoria. Now, you’re only thinking about your new “pet”, and how lucky you are to have such a great best friend.

hey sorry this took so long, the mods with more experience w/this kind of thing didn’t seem to be comfortable taking this on, so i did a little research to do it myself!!!!

sakura would help her girlfriend by making sure she stayed hydrated and comfortable. she gives her heating pads if those help, and tries to keep her spirits up. she has good stuff for muscle cramps since she works out so much, and she has good re-hydration drinks because of it too. sakura will talk to her and do whatever she can to soothe her!!

1. i’m playing danganronpa v3, so i can personally accept asks about it now! however, ouma kokichi reminds me of someone that was kinda mean to me and my friends irl so i don’t feel i could objectively write well for him. i try not to make any characters off-limits but i really don’t think i could write him well at this time. 2. all the mods are into pathologic right now, so you can ask for imagines about that :)

I feel like a better rule than “Show, don’t tell” is “Express, don’t state”

Because a lot of people interpret “show don’t tell” as “use visuals instead of dialog” or “play out scenes instead of referencing/describing them” which is an arbitrary rule that doesn’t communicate well what the issue is.

What I mean by “Express, don’t state” is that the facts of your story should be conveyed through the story’s elements instead of stated in the story.

If a character is depressed or guilt ridden, it should be expressed through their attitude, their actions, their decisions, their reactions, etc. instead of stating “this character is depressed”. Whether it’s done through dialog or a visual of a rainy cloud doesn’t matter, because it’s still conveyed directly to the audience instead of being evident in the text itself.

In fact, sometimes having a character describe a scene or a diagnosis or whatever using dialog can express a lot more than showing the scene itself.

Could you do Sakura staying with her fem so as she takes a mental day off

Hello there friend! Sorry this is a little late!

Sakura sits with her and waits for her to initiate conversation. She wouldn’t want to overwhelm her girlfriend during her much-needed break. When Sakura talks to her, she asks what would help and mentions that she brought some things to give her girlfriend a treat.

Sakura pulls out nail polish and some manicure supplies, as well as some lotion and face masks. She also brings out some tea and assorted calming music CDs. Sakura makes the tea while her s/o picks out music she enjoys and puts it on.

Sakura gently holds and massages her girlfriend’s hands and then puts some lotion on and applies nail polish. She helps her s/o hold the teacup if she needs it while waiting for her nails to dry. Sakura lets her s/o style her hair, and braids her s/o’s too if it’s long enough. (She still tries to do something if it isn’t...it might not work out too well but she tries hard!)

When she’s done, Sakura wraps her girlfriend in a warm blanket and sits with her, cuddling if she wants and sitting talking to her or even just sitting quietly if she doesn’t.

Of course! Sorry for the wait!

Sakura would instinctively shield her girlfriend, protecting her from harm or anything that might make her extra upset, like other people seeing her if she's having a meltdown or shutdown. Sakura would make sure to ask what her girlfriend needs if she was able to let Sakura know, and if for some reason she was not Sakura would stay with her quietly. If it helped, she would give her girlfriend a hug or take her by the hand to go someplace quieter with her. Sakura would also stare at any ableists around until they felt intimidated and uncomfortable and left.

We really love and appreciate all the Danganronpa asks, and we’re very happy that you trust us to be able to write them! We enjoy brainstorming them and writing them together.

Unfortunately, we only feel comfortable writing for the first two games (Trigger Happy Havoc/Goodbye Despair), as only one of us has played any of the others, and he has not gotten very far.

Therefore, please try to limit asks to characters from those two games if you are submitting a Danganronpa-themed ask. It’s okay if you happen to do one from another game, but know it will take longer because we have to research it.

We can also do other fandoms if the other games are the only ones you know but you still want imagines! We can compile a list of fandoms if you’d all like.

Hey there, Frog Anon! I’m really sorry for the delay. Since we don’t know V3 very well, we had to spend some more time thinking about this. I hope the characterization is okay!

Kokichi would take his boyfriend’s problems into consideration right away. Kokichi tells his boyfriend that he considers him part of his own family, and reminds his s/o that he doesn’t have to have anything to do with his biological family anymore if he doesn’t want to. He makes sure that his boyfriend is safe and that his parents can’t get to him if he doesn’t want them to.

Hello! We sure do! Also, we hope you’re okay, we got a little concerned that you might not be in a good place? (And none of us have gotten far in V3 so we hope we’re doing Tenko justice! She seems like a great character from what we read!)

Akane is absolutely furious that her s/o’s parents would do such a thing to them. Her first instinct is to offer to go at them, but then she directs her energy and passion towards making her s/o as comfortable as possible when she sees that’s what they need first. She had terrible parents too, so she wants to make sure her s/o makes it through this and knows they’re loved above all else. She also takes her s/o to get food and tells them how to keep their strength up and stay warm.

Sonia immediately gets her s/o a place to live, and connects them with resources in the community as well. As a princess, she can basically take any action her s/o wants without concern by using her connections to both of their advantage, and she makes sure her s/o knows that would be her pleasure! She gets very upset but tries not to show it. She does imply that she’ll take legal action if her s/o even sort of wants it, though.

Sakura prioritizes getting her s/o to be safe, but definitely wants to let s/o’s parents know they’re being dishonorable and cruel somehow. She’d be very tempted to either talk to them in person or write a letter. Sakura keeps that mostly to herself though, preferring to give lots of attention and love to her s/o so that they know they’re important to her and she loves them a lot! She keeps them close and checks in regularly.

Tenko is extremely distressed by the actions of her s/o’s parents, insisting that s/o deserves better and she’ll defend them no matter what. She gives her s/o lots of compliments to try to get their self-esteem up, and dedicates herself to keeping them safe and warm. She stays at their side the whole time, and makes space for them in her small room as best she can.

Junko was also homeless, so she can understand. She tries to comfort her s/o by saying that she got a home eventually with her modelling work, and tells s/o what she found helpful. She does her best to be supportive even though she doesn’t always know what to do outside what she herself did in that position.

Toko commiserates easily, going “parents are so useless, they’re always like this” instantly before quietly moving a little closer to her s/o. She’s shy about asking, but she lets her s/o know that if they can stand being with her parents that she does have extra room. She says not to get any ideas, but it’s added like an afterthought. (She wouldn’t mind her s/o wanting to cuddle a little but she’s not ready to say that quite yet.)

I like the idea of sakuraoi and ishimondo double dates, and hanging out with each other in all sorts of combinations, since you got big muscle (Sakura & Mondo spotting each other at the gym), big loud (Hina & Taka, I really love the idea of them being good friends & them both being trans and very gay), big ADHD (Hina & Mondo, they’re supposed to be studying while their s.o.’s are studying but they get so far off topic that they wind up doing 8 other things that needed to be done anyway), and big serious (Sakura & Taka, who are supposed to be studying and wind up getting fired up about something else altogether no matter who calm Sakura usually is, Taka just does that).

This is general and maybe just canon but I also really like Hina treating Sakura as super dainty and like the absolute princess that she is. I also like Ibuki doing that with Mikan because Mikan deserves someone who just utterly adores her and treats her good.

I made a post like this on my main blog but my headcanon for fuyupeko is that Fuyuhiko is about Peko the same way John Mulaney is about his wife, i.e. “My wife is a bitch, and I like her so much!”

Ishimondo’s my main ship but most of my headcanons about them are like, about Taka being way more forward than Mondo is? And I think I tend to write him that way a lot. Up there is “Mondo is the little spoon” and “Taka is sure they are dating but Mondo is so slow on the uptake that he still thinks he has to court Taka so they’re on different wavelengths for like eight months.”

For sakuraoi, them trying to wake each other up with breakfast or other cute things, but because they both wake up so early it’s hard to actually accomplish that, so they wind up being like “hey can you pretend to be asleep for a little longer, I wanted to treat you”.

For Komaeda/Gundham, that Komaeda really gets along with all of Gundham’s pets and loves them, and is like “I love you so much, but I’m honestly I’m here for the Devas” (to which Gundham is obviously like “Wise choice!”). 

Kyouko spends time learning to code on her own so that she can understand what Chihiro is talking about next time without having to interrupt her, and that Chihiro’s one (1) anxiety override is “assist and defend girlfriend”.

For naekusaba that the two took SO LONG like MONTHS to talk to each other because they were both too bi and would just kind of internally scream for a bit after seeing the other smile.

Mod Mondo is on the road back home at the moment, so he’ll reblog this with his additions when he gets back. All he has for right now is that Mondo actually likes to have his hair played with and styled by Taka.

Sakura and Aoi definitely do cute couples training sessions, think like one of them holding the other’s feet while doing sit-ups and getting a smooch each time they rise!

Mondo’s the type of guy who’d sleepily ask Taka to marry him and forget it next morning (Taka certainly won’t though!), self-sabotaging his plans to take Taka out somewhere on his bike and propose later that week. Taka would be a mess both times with overjoyed tears in his eyes.

Juzo’s sweet tooth also translates into him being a pretty decent baker which means Munakata gets all sorts of baked goods on the regular, very often his favorites.

Sakura gets angry, but is able to channel it into helping you. She lets you know that it’s understandable that this would be very difficult for you, and she wants to know everything that can help. She holds you close and strokes your hair and kisses you for a long time, wanting to make sure you feel all of her love! Sakura enjoys making you tea and helping you find a safe space wherever and however she can.

Aoi has researched the entire Bible in one night after you tell her, ready to tear down any arguments. She wouldn’t ever want to make you feel unsafe, though, so she can be talked down from that. She’s more than happy to take you to all your favorite places and activities, too. Aoi very fiercely reminds you how much she treasures you and how cool being gay is. (After all, both of you are gay, so it has to be the best! She will not take comments on the matter.) 

Maki cares about you more than anything, and can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t! She sets her sights on supporting you through this, ready to do anything for you. She makes sure that no one says anything to you like that ever again as best she can. Maki doesn’t always feel like she knows what to say to you, but she makes sure you know that she’s by your side when you need her, and that you mean the world to her.
