Will had never really talked about his time in the Upside Down before. Dustin had tried asking, once, but fortunately, Mike had shut it down before Will had even gotten the chance to refuse. It was a relief, at the time, to deny those awful memories the opportunity to come to light. There was a finality to it—like admitting what had happened to him would make it real.

“I also hid,” Will said. “For a long time.”

“In a memory?” Lucas asks cautiously.
