How to make your own wicked zombie skin or wounds: Halloween is right around the corner folks! Here is my quick and dirty way of making some cool wounds. Enjoy! 1. Get some liquid latex: They sell this stuff at any Halloween store. You don’t need a lot but I recommend the jug which will last you forever 2. Choose your makeup: I tend to use just regular makeup foundation for a base since you are going to have to cover up some white tissue we will be using. Go get some cheap foundation and then a small face paint kit (oil works fine). You may want to get some fake blood too or make your own with corn syrup! (plenty o’ recipes for that online) 3. Rip up some toilet paper: Take toilet paper and separate it into its individual “ply” layers. Roughen up the edges and tear it into irregular shapes. This will be used to build up a flesh layer between latex layers. 4. Apply a thin coat of latex where you want your wound to be. Take the tissue and lay a layer on top. Coat the top of the tissue with another layer of latex. Continue this process for 3-5 layers. 5. Once you have the skin all nice and applied, go ahead and rip into it! You can make any sort of wound you want. You can tear it for a deep wound, make smaller holes to appear as a burn wound and so on! 6. Once you have your wound shape, go ahead and apply the basic foundation to cover as much of the white as you can. After that is done take your oil paint palate and put brown, red and black into the depths of the wound where you tore so it looks really deep. Take brown and dab it around the edges of the tissue and on the areas around the wound to help blend it into the surrounding skin. Add small amounts of green, purple and yellow to give a bruised appearance 7. Stick some blood in there for fun! You can also take rice granules and latex them in the skin for a maggot appearance. 8. You’re done! Be creative and add any other stuff that might make your wounds look awesome .
