Repost from the collection of @originaljewelry.
This is another 1997 find from the famous Sapo Mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Minas Gerais is one of the most important localities in the world as far as semi-precious mineral production goes. This particular Sapo tourmaline (var. Elbaite) with quad-color-zones was a one-time-find in 1997 from one of three pockets tapped into that year with unique color zoning. Only a few thousand collector specimens are estimated to exist and are extremely rare to come by with most of them being permanent staples of the lucky collection it lands in. There’s nothing to suggest something like this will ever be found again. Then again, if you follow me you probably already know this all already. I had to stop bidding on the only one I’ve ever seen for auction after it passed the price of 3 used cars… lol. I am set on owning one and never letting it go one day. Until then.. patience. #tourmaline #sapo #sapomine #elbaite #crystals #minasgerais #minerals #Brazil #braziliantourmaline

Took 5 tabs of acid (first time doing it ever) and my friend gave me a bunch of acrylic paint. Painted it with my fingers tripping out of my mind. Also I’m colorblind, and don’t work with abstract work at all (I only have ever done drawing). Thought this was pretty whacky.
