Oli groggily sits up, eyes widening. He made it back. He was here. In Camp Empires. With his memories. His memories. But without his soul.

“Is- is anyone there?!” He shouts, hoping someone is near enough to hear him. But oh, the irony isn’t lost on him. This is almost exactly how his first coming to camp went. His voice sounds the same. He’s honestly surprised he isn’t soaking wet, wearing a ruined Hawaiian shirt.

Gem flinched at the blinding head pain as a loud voice cried out next to her. She forced her eyes open and through the pain saw a blurry blonde figure.

Her memories of the past day came back in a rush, and she sat up straight, ignoring the painful jolt it caused.

"Oli!"

He blinked. “Ge- Well, if it isn’t Gemini Tay? Good grief, mate, you look like bloody hell. What’s going on? I feel like I’ve been asleep under the sun for a year.”

"No, no I'm-" she hissed in pain but continued. "I'm fine. How are you? You lost your soul! How are you back?!"

”Well, I don’t know! That’s a lie, I do. I think it was the Lethe. Or dear ol’ dad, maybe. But hey, I got my memories back! And now I can really be in the Scott Hate Club!”

"That's good! Scott's... I've heard stuff has been happening. By the way, who's Steve?"

“…Gemini Tay, I’m sure in another life we are the bestest of friends so I mean this in the nicest way possible, who the fuck is ‘Steve’.”

"You know! The guy that was with you when you got here? He helped me carry you into camp before I uh-- passed out."

"Fine, fine. GAH-" 'Please, Mother. Lord Jupiter. Lady Diana. Any god who hears me. Please send someone to save my family from this fate they have been condemned to.' Gem stood on shaky legs as she finished her prayer. 'Gem!' fWhip called. 'You're gonna be late for the meeting!' 'Coming!' "So... if that's Xornoth... how is he back? And where is he?"

”Ba- Oh! Yeah, he helped me get out of the underworld. I intend to punch him square in the nose when I’m not seeing purple, but after that, I reckon me and him will be back to friends.”

“I never said he was evil. His evil arc was like, during that year I don’t remember. But, he was just a child who was manipulated. So, I won’t really care unless he bothers Saus purposefully.”

"I suppose." Gem's head was hurting again. Not that it had stopped, but it was getting worse now. "But what if something really bad happened during the year you don't remember?"

“Oh, I am sure that so many horrible horrible things happened. Probably to me, too. But I don’t really know, so, eh.”

"That's a bit. Concerning." Red eyes flash at her, fear pins her in place. 'Sausage?' she breaths. The man soldier boy she used to call a brother stares back at her, cold and uncaring.

“Gem, are you all right? I think you’ve been having flashbacks. Maybe you should rest?” Even while he’s scatterbrained himself, the caring instincts still kick in. Curse, you, father, for being the god of healing.

"It's not- It's not flashbacks. It can't be flashbacks, this never happened."

At that moment, a brown-haired figure walked in the door.

'Sausage, please!' Gem pleaded. Sausage looked bored as he raised his knife. Gem wasn't sure which would hurt more, Sausage being affected but enjoying it, or acting as if this was a mere annoyance. 'It's nothing personal,' Sausage said, tone neutral. The knife came down quickly, going directly into her heart. He pulled it out, wiped off the blood, and walked away calmly. 'Goodbye, Gemini Tay'

Gem let out a quiet gasp as her eyes rolled back and she fell unconscious.

Oli groggily sits up, eyes widening. He made it back. He was here. In Camp Empires. With his memories. His memories. But without his soul.

“Is- is anyone there?!” He shouts, hoping someone is near enough to hear him. But oh, the irony isn’t lost on him. This is almost exactly how his first coming to camp went. His voice sounds the same. He’s honestly surprised he isn’t soaking wet, wearing a ruined Hawaiian shirt.

Gem flinched at the blinding head pain as a loud voice cried out next to her. She forced her eyes open and through the pain saw a blurry blonde figure.

Her memories of the past day came back in a rush, and she sat up straight, ignoring the painful jolt it caused.

"Oli!"

He blinked. “Ge- Well, if it isn’t Gemini Tay? Good grief, mate, you look like bloody hell. What’s going on? I feel like I’ve been asleep under the sun for a year.”

"No, no I'm-" she hissed in pain but continued. "I'm fine. How are you? You lost your soul! How are you back?!"

”Well, I don’t know! That’s a lie, I do. I think it was the Lethe. Or dear ol’ dad, maybe. But hey, I got my memories back! And now I can really be in the Scott Hate Club!”

"That's good! Scott's... I've heard stuff has been happening. By the way, who's Steve?"
