Just a bakugou katsuki fan girl

Bakugou Katsuki is so important to me Just wanted to archive my thoughts on him :) I like the majority of Katsuki ships (specially dkbk and tdbk) but Katsuki is my priority and I don't like it when shippers mischarcterize him for their ship and treat it like canon. +18. Also I have to add, kudoichi is superior. ATTENTION: I hated the ending and criticize it a lot so if you want to defend the ending I suggest you don't follow me bakugou haters and horikoshi/bones dickriders are NOT welcome here

I sometimes feel like hori draws Bakugo very much more beautiful in deku's pov. Like he's so beautiful in lots of panels but the beauty in panels in deku's pov is very different. There's something painful about it

The fact that no one would ever remember kudo or his name breaks my heart.

Afo killed his entire bloodline. Or anyone who was close to him. He probably made sure his name is off from history books as well.

Izuku knows him as "leader" called by Bruce or "my hero" called by yoichi.

The only person who has actually heard his name is Katsuki. But he not only was high on adrenaline at the moment but also had zero idea what afo was talking about, and thought he had gone senile.

I just find this sad...

The fact that anime onlies who are in early seasons get shocked when you show them how manga Katsuki is drawn, is a proof of some bones staff not treating him nicely in early seasons.

Because I've seen so many ppl saying how much cuter or prettier he looks. Those ugly long necks they used to give him sometimes or over-exaggerated angry faces in scenes that didn't have much anger, still make me shiver😭 (ofc he made ugly faces in manga as well but some of them were way worse in anime and sometimes they added extra ugliness when the scene in the manga wasn't like that at all)

sure they can't replicate hori's art but you know what I mean. Compare them to last seasons and how 1:1 they were. This is why Anna yamaguchi is the goat

To add to the last post, i agree that we should just ignore them but how can you do that when 80 out of 100 posts you see on your feed is them and their hit posts. Or maybe the algorithm sucks.

Like ppl get hit posts over very obvious lies and misinformations and nobody corrects them. And those hit posts get used as facts and a tool for harassing ppl later. So it says a lot about the state of the fandom.

I think one reason why the fandom is at peak of being unbearable right now is because it's either full of deku self-inserters or ppl who have all their mha knowledge from tiktok comments and fics. And ppl who usually called them out either have left or given up or become inactive. (I'm talking about the loud part of the online fandom)

Deku self-inserters don't actually read the story, they even hate Izuku but don't realize it. They only see him as a helpless bully victim who constantly needs to get babied/pampered and also how much of a flawless "messiah" he becomes at the end and nothing more. On the other hand, they see Katsuki as only a bully or maybe even an irredeemable monster and also how much of a "deku glazer" he becomes at the end and again, nothing more. They also see the rejection or the #4 & #5 thing at a meaningless ranking or izk saying girls used to avoid Katsuki as a "revenge for bullying". (I'm serious, they really see it that way). This is why the discourse is always so fucking redundant and exhausting. And these are the same ppl who always get hit posts.

The second group who has their knowledge from social media instead of reading the manga, don't need further explanation. Just that they repeat anything they see like parrots without even trying to verify it.

The manga has so many topics to discuss, even outside these two. but the fandom has only stuck in chapter one because they don't have enough capacity to process anything that is outside of self-inserting on characters.

Watching how atla's live action miss important layers to the story and sometimes even obvious point of a scene makes me not want that western mha live action even more. Because yall know what character would be the victim of this and get mischarcterized the most.

The good parts in question: Katsuki takes care of his mentors. He has a great chest. He's still wise. OK that's it.

since my hero academia is a lost cause with potential, i am obviously obsessed and one of my hyperfixations is the drastically different approach to parenting that mitsuki and inko have that manage to screw up their children in different ways.

mitsuki is obviously heavily criticized but i think people overlook how much of katsuki's love for winning and not appearing to be weak comes from her. like she doesn't settle for less and is horrifyingly harsh about her son, but there's an openness about her that is highlighted by katsuki. her simple 'look you are better than everyone so don't you dare want to be less. you can't be weak because you're strong and the only way to keep on going is by winning so you need to win.' very less like a parent and more like a coach honestly.

contrasting that is inko who's a much more loving and openly affectionate mother. she cares about her son more than anything. but she also has contributed so much to his insecurity. like the first manga chapters literally have izuku saying that's not what I wanted to hear when his mom apologised for him being quirkless. inko wants her son to settle and be happy with what he has because what's the point of shooting for more when the risks are so great? and intentionally or not this carries with izuku to his adulthood after OFA is gone. because at least he had it. the amount of damage it does to izuku to even want more because he should be happy with what he has is stupefying.

loved this arc so much and there were so many cute bakugou scenes i was rejoicing. I love the character progression so far as well, it just has me so excited to see where all of these characters go in the future
