Island of Madness

Somewhere in Hawaii another island has been created, lava still flowing as it grows out of the sea. If an entire island wasn’t odd enough, there seems to be enough magical energy there to interfere with even analyzing the location! The island itself is infested with Berserker Class Servants and spirits of madness, all consumed by madness and attacking nearly anything on sight! On the island multiple servants have managed to get a foot hold, and want to control more of the island! Though, their true goal is destroying Chaldea. There seems to be one Berserker servant behind this, but their identity is unknown.. And another thing unknown as of right now is the effect of the island! It’s covered in so much magical energy because it has a passive effect on anybody who is on the island. You will begin to go mad.

“Mechanic” wise that means that servants will begin to gain the skill Madness Enchantment while on the island, and regular humans may start to find themselves easier to anger, and may find it a bit harder to think rationally. The rate at which servants gain ranks in Madness Enchantment varies, with those who have magic resistance gaining it slower, and Berserkers gaining higher levels incredibly quick! Foreigners are near immune the the effect as well!

There’s going to be a few NPC berserkers, but there’s going to be a few “boss” ones as well, which will be split between me, @grandchaos, and @despairfiles! We’ll reveal those as the event goes on!

it’s another cause for the raise of his brows the moment she inquires over his own birthday . how much did she know about him , exactly ? probably not much , to ask something like that . little orphan boys didn’t get birthdays , and he wasn’t like her — involved with the world so much that anyone would bother to pay any attention to him . ‘ my birthday … ‘ a brief melancholy settles over his expression , nothing more than a passing shadow before it brightens , vibrant .

“That’s not true at all! If you’re not careful I’ll have Kiyohime interrogating me again! Do you know how stressful that can be?! I’d absolutely be the one in trouble!” A short pause “But.. I guess she’d want to ask you questions as well..”

She tried to feign a look of belief, not wanting to give away the fact that she noticed that split second where the other’s expression changed. She wasn’t one to point such a thing out though. Even with Senpai she usually kept quiet if she noticed such a thing.

“That makes sense.. But, I haven’t seen you celebrate in awhile, so I don’t mind sharing at least some of my day with you!” She was already holding out one of the pieces of candy she was given

“Ah? N-no! I’m fine, really! I don’t need anything else, and I couldn’t think of anything I’d want even if I tried!”

“Honestly, I’ve gotten the feeling that in the modern era, the general opinion on you has gotten better. So, the humans in Chaldea probably think you’re just fine, although they might expect you to be a bit more passive. Nothing to be done preemptively on the latter, and in this old man’s opinion it’s probably a boon if there’s anyone you need to surprise. I think you’ll be pretty fine, everything considered. Even Achilles doesn’t make much of long-dead events.”

“While true, with how many different tellings there are I’m still rather likely to run into somebody who thinks me heartless. Then again that is likely my own anxiety talking..” A short pause before she smiles once again “I suppose that is a boon, I could always beat the admiration out of them if I must! Oh, really? That’s actually surprising to hear, I always heard he was capable of holding a grudge.”

Deserves celebrating.. Well she can’t argue that, not anymore. She was always happy to celebrate everybody else’s, so why shouldn’t hers be celebrated too? Just because it never was in the past doesn’t mean that has to be the case for the future as well.

Any further thoughts she had were quickly ejected out of her mind once she heard the other proclaim the two were perfect for each other, flustered rambling replacing even the smallest trace of actual words in her mind

“W-WAIT! YOU CAN’T JUST SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT OUT OF NOWHERE! WHAT IF S-SOMEBODY HEARS YOU AND TAKES IT THE WRONG WAY?!”

A small eep interrupts any further avalanche of words, a small reaction to the slap on the back

“Oh.. Wait do you actually know your birthday..? If not we can have a birthday on the same day!”

Perhaps how flustered she got made her take the joke as a serious suggestion..
