Über Coil: „The Darker the Night, the Brighter the Stars“
Gegründet 1982 von John Balance und Peter „Sleazy“ Christopherson (ehemals Throbbing Gristle), waren Coil weit mehr als eine Band. Sie waren Alchemisten des Klangs. Ihr Werk bewegt sich zwischen extremem Industrial, neoklassischen Elementen, Acid House und okkulten Ambient-Landschaften.
Sie verwandelten Chaos in Poesie und machten das Unsichtbare hörbar. Ihr Einfluss auf die elektronische Musik und die Gothic/Industrial-Subkultur ist bis heute riesig.

On the 6th of June 2024 DJ Edelescort and me had a blast at the famous and infamous cologne-based record super-shop for experimental and unusual music - a-Musik. Antonio d. Luca was also supposed to DJ but unfortunately fell sick. So we have been droppping quite exclusive and rare tunes from our collections of precious Vinyl-PVC-discs from 18h to 22h. This was one of a-Musik's late-shopping-events. NOTE: This event also celebrated 9 years of HAUCH Records (From Düsseldorf’ fame) releases - many of which I had the honour to send through my mastering-circuitry for vinyl release. I finally had the time to start re-issueing the full SERVE & DESTROY back-catalogue, starting with our infamous phenomenological compilation-attack that was all well received back in the vibey, promising year of 1999. Before you fire it up you should realise and know that the Zeitgeist of that year was completely controlled and modulated of the upmost fever, thirst and hunger for the year 2000 to finally come and hit us all. We were desperately awaiting the new century!
