To be blunt, you were fucking freezing. You had confidently decided not to wear a jacket tonight, thinking that you'd only be out in the cold for a short amount of time, and that you'd spend most of the night carrying it around with you. But the line at the restaurant was long, which left you waiting outside.
You focused on being still, trying not to let on to your date that you were stupid and on the verge of freezing solid. Without the distraction of conversation though, he was too observant to let it slip past. He squeezed your hand softly, your fingers interlaced with his.
