I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. Small Iron Lung spoiler here, but there is a small detail I can't stop thinking about.

When the blood starts filling the cabin of the sub...the oxygen levels go up. The blood is bright red + oxygen levels go up? That likely means the blood is oxygenated. The implications of that alone are SO fucking fascinating. It really made me wonder...is the planet itself alive? Is it the creature causing this? Was Simon hallucinating that badly? Was it symbolizing Simon's final decision to save the black box rather than himself because "it's bigger than him" ergo, he's finally able to have a purpose that isn't purely survival and that is revitalizing him? Ahhhh, such a fun little detail that I am so curious of!

Watched Iron Lung last night and OMG I love it, new autism movie :3

Spoilers below cut!

The amount of little details in this movie is amazing! Two things that really stuck with me were the blood rising scene and the plant amulet

In the blood rising scene, the blood starts to congeal on the hull into clumps, which adds to the horror of it being human! We constantly see scabs able to form in the same way, so the blood becoming a scab on a broken hull? Fantastic! The horror of the oxygen level rising due to the amount of blood is also terrifying! It makes me wonder how the oxygen was being detected and if it was being monitored as it was likely filling up oxygen supply.

The amulet is also a fascinating detail! In a world where most plant life is dead, the last tree is dead, and likely in some way is Simon's fault, whether he actually acted on it or just pushed his people to the brink of hysteria that lead to the destruction of the tree, he is the one to find one of the last remnants of life? Something that is so sacred to this story that they repeatedly send people to die to find it? Aaaaa!!

Also the idea that both plant lives in the movie died in (supposedly) a similar manner. Eden's tree dying after Simon pushed his people to develop a crazy plan, then realizing what is happening and trying to stop it, leading to its destruction. The amulet he found that he views as sacred (alongside the tree of Eden), being pushed into a plan that wasn't his, then when he finally decides to go for the black box and protect it, that's when his amulet breaks. While they're are differences, sure, I think the fact that they feel like reflections of his decisions, and whether or not if he goes through with a plan, something sacred is destroyed really calls back to the quote "I just wanna live, is that so wrong? Why does no one else want that?" is so great! There used to be plant life around Simon, whether they knew it or not, and because of their plans it gets broken and destroyed is a fantastic way to mirror his character into the world around him.

There's so much I wanna talk about with this movie, I need to shake someone about it, AAAAAA! I might make a poster to print, I will share design if I do cause I'm going crazy and need to watch it again :3

They're both puppies. I don't know if Nancy is necessarily a Golden, but she's something with big ears and a very energetic tail

I propose that their dynamic isn't Black Cat x Golden Retriever, it's German Shepard x Golden Retriever (can also sub German Shepard for other dogs that look scary that are big sweethearts, another possibility could be a Malinois (im kinda playing on how badass she is for these choices))
