I was on birth control for a while because of some misguided understandings, and I have sisters that have been on it because it's the default "period-regulator." It's a cop out for doctors, frankly.

When I was working an internship I was the only women in the office who wasn’t using hormonal bc. I remember sitting with 10 other women and hearing them joke about their bc calling it their “depression/suicide pills”, saying how it changed their emotions and behaviors to the point they became so emotionally violative they would end up suicidal at times.

They were all agreeing with one another, affirming their similar experiences while I sat there mouth ajar. It was such a sad thing to witness if I could go back I’d genuinely ask them to consider that they shouldn’t be using hormonal bc

BREAKING: Dems Vote to Codify Roe v. Wade Into Law, Get Clown-Slapped Instead

Senate Democrats voted to make abortion a federally protected “right,” but the final vote sent them packing. The bill would have overridden almost every state-level restriction. It would also have allowed legal abortion up to the point of birth. Also noteworthy, the bill never actually had a chance to pass. It was all for show.

“There is no moderation in this bill,” Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) declared on the Senate floor.

“Just brutal indifference hiding behind euphemisms. Fortunately, it won’t pass.”

The charge was led by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). No word on whether or not he is going to flex his Stella Adler acting class muscles and weep again.

FACT-O-RAMA! Ruth Bader Ginsburg once stated that Roe v. Wade was “heavy-handed judicial intervention that was difficult to justify and appears to have provoked, not resolved, conflict.”

Gropey Joe Biden was quick (for once) to react. “This failure to act comes at a time when women’s constitutional rights are under unprecedented attack and it runs counter to the will of the majority of American people,” he said.

Senate Minority Whip John Thune (R-S.D.) called the bill “extreme” but wasn’t surprised the Democrats called for the vote. He even gave Democrats a little jab.

“But I guess when the abortion lobby calls, our Democrat colleagues come running,” Thune stated from the Senate floor.

The most important thing about this vote is that we’ve got 49 Democrats on record supporting abortion up until birth.

It doesn't take a sky high IQ to raise a well educated child, you just need dedication and a good curriculum. Anything you don't know you can learn with them.

Consider also that the average qualification of a public school teacher is pretty much limited to 'classroom management', and/or however much of the developmental psychology class they still remember. They don't have anything on parents who know their own child and work with them one on one.

I’m a public school teacher. I have a bachelor’s in psychology and a teaching certificate through an alternative certification program.

My education and training did not make me any smarter than the parents of the children I teach. Honestly, most of what I learned was how to use a very specific lesson plan format that nobody actually uses in the real world.

With a general idea of what you want your kid to learn and some free online resources, you can do better for your child than what I can do for them - because you can devote the time and energy to your child that I have to spread across 120 children. And I only see those children for 50 minutes a day, 5 days a week, for 36 weeks.

If I want to take them to see a historical site or museum, I have to spend weeks if not months filling out forms and securing funding and coordinating buses and collecting permission slips. You can hop in the car and go.

I also have to follow a strict schedule to cover every state standard between mid August and late May - interrupted by state testing, breaks, assemblies, and other classes’ field trips. If I don’t follow the schedule, I end up with some classes ahead and some behind and some never making it though all the content.

You can spend a whole day learning one thing if you want. You can combine two or three subjects in one activity. You can go faster through the parts that your kid finds more interesting, and take time on the things that are tougher.

You can move school from Tuesday to Saturday if you want. You can teach at 9 AM or 6 PM. You can take a break for a dentist appointment and pick right back up where you left off. You can take family vacations when everyone else is in school, and even make those vacations part of your curriculum.

You can sign your kid up for sports and clubs and activities without putting them through the government indoctrination. There are online classes for subjects you’re less confident in, as well as sometimes in-person classes that you can sign up for a la carte. For instance, in my area we have One Day Academy, where each campus is only open one day a week and parents sign kids up for individual classes like theatre, history, or math, contracting directly with individual teachers.

There is so much flexibility and room for individual growth with homeschooling that simply doesn’t exist in the public school system. I highly recommend it!

1) Which party to this conflict is a government?
