Well, Halloween is just around the corner. Here’s the ominous version of the Lady Death, Nesta Archeron from A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas.

It is my understanding that Nesta’s power is pure death and is connected to a higher being, the Mother. It has be noticed by the inner circle that when her power bubbles to the surface, her eyes glow silver. There’s one scene in her book, A Court of Silver Flame, during her nightmare, she was surrounded by silver flames that burned cold instead of hot. It was described that her fire is ice cold that burns and it is fluid like a flame. She created a great sword, Ataraxia, which also contains power.

Nesta seems cold and unapproachable. However, she feels deeply and so much, that she created a wall around herself for protection purposes. In her journey, she has to deal with mental struggles. My heart goes out to her and anyone out there in this world that relates to this character. She truly is a protector of the young, the innocent, and those that she cares about. She is definitely someone that I would like to have my back. ;)

I’ve enjoyed creating this piece immensely. The sword design was tricky for me since I lack experience designing various weapons. Dresses are my forte, I think. I especially like moon-bathing. ;) Who else likes moon-bathing??
