❝ I’m not sure if you remember or not…but there was a war, not the one that recently happened..but another one. It was…it’s been almost a year. ❞ Almost a year since that day he had seen him get crushed whilst trying to save him. Not a day had gone by that he hadn’t beat himself up over letting something like that happen, when he finally had Cross around again. Fingers twiddle together as he tries to get the rest of what he has to say out, it’s not something that can just…talk about. ❝ The last time I saw you Master, you died for me. ❞
❝ And I waited for you to come back, because people in the city always come back after they die–or so I thought. ❞ A pause before a long deep sigh, ❝ but you didn’t. ❞
A war? Dying for Allen? Okay, he wouldn’t deny dying for the boy, as he technically did back at Central, but would he admit that openly? God, no. Unfortunately he didn’t remember what the white-haired boy was talking about, and he gave the appropriate response.
“...What? I don’t remember any of that.” It surprised him though, that was for sure.
