DESIGN PROCESS OF REBOUND
Brainstorming:
Title: REBOUND
Purpose: A fun colourful android game
Rules / instructions: Let the correct colour balls enter the same colour section/corner e.g. blue ball enters blue section = 1 point. If the wrong colour ball enters the wrong colour section/corner = game over.
Mechanics: Tap the balls to destroy them, so that they won’t enter a wrong section / corner. The player does not control where the ball goes nor when it gets fired.
Description: A game where balls get fired from two canons. A ball is fired in a random orientation and gets assigned one of four random colour: blue, red, yellow and green. The maximum number of balls that can be fired into the game space are 6. There is one canon on the top middle and one on the bottom middle. The balls are fired using a timer, so every couple of seconds a ball gets fired. To achieve a randomness I used the modular operator. To make the game less predictable, I added a moving all that moves back and forth in the middle of the screen on the x axes.

Tutoring Delight: absurd comedy, short film, video basics final project
The main influence for my movie idea is the book called La Cantatrice chauve by Eugène Ionesco.
Synopsis idea
Working Title: Tutoring
Genre: Absurd Comedy
An absurd tutoring session in which a nervous student attempts to obtain the tutor’s phone number.
A student’s need help with his English and signs up for English tutoring. At around noon, he goes to his first tutoring session in a classroom where he meets Mrs. Smith. The student’s name is David. He is extremely shy and he only speaks French with an English accent. Mrs. Smith is an English teacher giving tutoring classes in her free time. She always speaks and answers David in English and she is very patient with her students. David and Mrs. Smith introduce each other. The tutor asks him to take a seat. David sits in a chair at the other side of the room. The tutor specifies which chair he was supposed to sit in. He then changes seats. Once he sits, they have an absurd conversation. Every time the tutor says David’s name, he says “hello” and introduces himself in French. Every time the tutor says the word okay, which happens quite often, the student will say okay in his following sentence too. The tutor tries to make him say “hello”, but the student ends up teaching her: bonjour. During their conversation, they constantly interrupt each other. They then have an argument on the pronunciation of the word okay. After their argument, they start flirting and at the end, she gives him her private phone number.
