“Yay or nay to learning how to flair bartend?” Ryan waged an eyebrow, grinning. He’d gotten pulled into YouTube videos and had someone found himself in a bartending playlist. “I mean, I’ve already got a few tricks down, but. It’d be a pretty cool party trick, no?”
Genevieve shrugged slightly. “Well, I mean, if it’s something you’re interested in then I say go for it. There’s no trouble in learning a new hobby.”

“Hypothetically speaking,” Dylan started. “What are the odds of a place hiring you if you have zero work history?” Or history in general. The young wolf isn’t sure she even technically exists in any public records. Then again, if any place in the United States wasn’t going to be picky about that kind of thing it was Hollow Grove.
Genevieve looked the girl over and shrugged. “I’d say it would really depend on how the interview goes. I’ve hired a convicted felon before so someone with no work history isn’t a hard no. At least not when I’m hiring.”

“It would! And, you know what? I’ve actually had that happen to me.” Eric couldn’t help but laugh at the memory of that as they walked. “Ended up being seriously awkward.”
“Wait really?” Genevieve asked him seriously. “How could anyone do that to you? I mean....you’re incredible.” She smiled then, glancing at Eric sheepishly. She was so relieved that she no longer had to hide her feelings for him. It had been getting to be too much.

Looking back over to the poor girl again, she thought about it. “Yeah she is,” Theresa agreed with a sigh. “But I will resist because I have other things to do instead of going over there and…” she turned back to the girl, making a small noise as she kept thinking about it.
“That’s probably the smarter choice,” Gen agreed. “It’s not worth wasting our time if she’s not receptive. Especially since she could just hire someone to help her at her own pace.”

Theresa shook her head and sucked her teeth a bit. “Nope we can’t-I know I definally don’t have enough restraint to actually go over there and just give her a makeover.”
“I mean, there’s always a chance she’s using her poor fashion sense to telegraph how badly she needs a makeover,” Gen joked. It was unlikely, but possible nonetheless.

Eric grinned, pulling Genevieve closer as they approached the building Eric’s flat was in. “True. I’m not really planning on paying attention to anyone but you, darling.”
When Eric pulled her closer, Gen smiled. “Good. That would be a terribly awkward date,” she teased him. “You’re the only one I ever want to pay attention to.”

“Yep. 100%. Not a thing.’ he replied, adamantr that he wanted to forget this had happened as soon as he could. That wasn’t likely but still, worth the effort in his mind at least. “Well, if you had to have seen something you could just say a handsome man in the alleyway. Nothing else.”
Genevieve smirked. “Well I could say that, but what’s the fun in only saying that? I mean...a handsome man in an alley sounds like something that would have a story attached to it.”

Before he’d left for his mission he’d been in town since it opened, and in the time before hand he’d realised that he made a few playful ‘enemies’ in town with silly pranks, and play fighting that had resulted in some of the older townsfolk annoyed with him almost constantly. However, in a town like Hollow Grove those old folk were most likely to still be around when you return to town, as he’d found out when he’d been whacked over the back of the head by one of them who still had a grudge from some innocent thing he’d done some 20 years ago. Spotting her again he ducked down and hid, before realising he was being watched. “Turn around, you saw nothing.”
Genevieve wasn’t quite sure what she just saw, but it amused her anyway. “Oh is that so?” she asked, playfulness in her tone. “I really didn’t?” She had been having a rather lackluster day, so the chance to inject some amusement into it wasn’t lost on her.

“When was the last time anyone took care of this place?”
“I wish I could tell you,” Gen chuckled. “Need some help?”

“Oh, really? And what exactly is telling you that?” Eric mused playfully, looking down at Gen in amusement.
She smirked, her hand gripping his. “Well...I doubt either one of us will be paying attention to anything but each other.”

“I think it’s both,” she looked back at the poor girl and shook her head. “If she’s that brave enough to go out in public like that, then kudos to her, but she just needs to go home and change-badly.”
Gen chuckled. “You’re right. Shame we can’t tell her without being super obvious about it. Unfortunately I don’t think that would work. We probably don’t have enough restraint.”

“Of course, my lady!” Eric smiled as he lead her out, and towards where his apartment was. “My apartment? I have to admit, I haven’t deep-cleaned the place in… well, forever.” He joked.
Gen chuckled and shook her head. “Something tells me that isn’t going to be an issue,” she teased him. “But your apartment is perfect.”

“Advice but people like to take the opportunity to ask anything on their mind.” Tessa answered with a quiet laugh, looking to the other woman. “It’s nothing I can publish, but I can reply privately with a recommendation to consult their doctor.”
Genevieve shook her head. “Honestly the morals at this day in age.” While she wasn’t really one to talk, at least she couldn’t get pregnant. She did that enough during the 14th century. “You have more patience than I do for those sorts of things.”

The news that Amala had moved to Hollow Grove was exciting. While the town was full of people that Genevieve was friendly with, she didn’t consider many of them her close friends. For someone who had lived over seven centuries one would think she’d have some closer friends.
Agreeing to meet Amala for lunch and a little tour of the town, Gen arrived a few minutes early and got a table. She sent Eric a text before looking up from her phone in time to see her friend walk in. “Hey,” Genevieve said as she waved slightly. “Gosh it’s been such a long time. How’ve you been?” she asked when Amala reached the table.

Eric smiled brightly when she agreed with him, unable to resist the urge and leaning down again to kiss her. “Let’s go, then. I’m not wasting another second.” He spoke, squeezing her hand lightly as he started to lead out her out of there.
He kissed her again and Gen smiled against his lips. “Lead the way,” she chuckled while following him. This was still somewhat new for them, but Genevieve didn’t want to waste time either. While she had an eternity, Eric didn’t.

“How much later on are we talking about?” Eric asked, smiling as he saw the way she flushed. She was so adorable, it was just beyond him. How could he even get with someone stunning like her? “Cause I could be down to calling this it for the day, and go back to my place?”
Once Eric said that, Genevieve chuckled. “Well...” she started, smirking slightly. “We can call it a day and head back to your place.” She reached out, her fingers lacing between his. “I’d like that.”

“I could come up with a thing or two better than that.” Eric spoke playfully, only to smile into the kiss as Genevieve kissed him again. His arms wrapped around her waist, bringing her closer as he let both of them enjoy the little moment of intimacy, even if it was out in the public. “But nothing better that can be done out in the public.”
Genevieve flushed when Eric spoke. “We’ll have to give those better things a try later on,” she told him. At some point they wouldn’t be in public. Gen was just glad that whatever this was seemed to be flourishing in a way that made them both happy.
