First shot I did for the Brawlhalla Tezca reveal a while back, was proud of this one!
Some ppl on insta were asking how I pick my color palettes. I’m not very good at explaining so this probably won’t make sense but y’know 💔
If you prefer the coloring on the left that’s totally chill and valid! This is just how I like to color.

How do you color your pieces?
hello! so sorry for the late response! but i don’t really know how tumblr works, so it takes a while for me to see these hahahah ;;
im not quite sure what pieces you’re asking about, so i just assumed you’re asking about my gradient map work, sorry! but i figured since i started this small shinri sketch the other night i might as well color it & use it as an example! ^^
so first, i start w/ a greyscale drawing! such as this;
then i make a new correction layer for a gradient map;
i use CSP, so i’m not quite sure if you can do this in other drawing programs, but after i chose a good default gradient, i just mess around with the colors & settings till i feel good abt how everything looks.
i honestly have very little formal education in colors & art stuff, so i p much just keep trying new things and making new gradients till something works :-]
after that i create another new layer, but make sure the blending mode is set to color, & add different splotches of random colors till it looks nice :-∂
and then that’s pretty much it!! sometimes i’ll go in later with my default photo marker tool on my phone & add other tiny details such as drawings or writing, but that’s it! here is the end result & the one i posted on my twitter! ^^
i think it’d be fun to go over the different brushes i have or gradient sets i’ve made, but i think i’ll save that for when i have like a patreon or something, lol. anyway, ty 4 the ask & i hope u are able to find this of some help!
How To Colour: The Speedy Way
A few people have asked about my process, so I figured I’d make a little guide on how I do things. This tutorial is intermediate level, so it skips over colour theory and the basics of directional lighting, shading, tone/ saturation etc. It’s ore of a guide on my general process!
Let me know if there’s anything else y’all would like to see, or any clarification needed.
⚡Hi! Zorry if thiz iz a bother, but we're curiouz az to how you chooze colorz for art! Your coloring iz amazing and we love love love it ⚡
Ou!! a fun question!! i think the colors are definitely one of the best parts of my art so getting to explain how i do it sounds fun!
1. i try not to use solid black or solid white! I rather substitute blacks for dark blues or maroons/purples! Same goes for whites, which are mostly light blues or yellows! it depends on the character i'm drawing and their main color pallets so it varies!
2. I use limited color pallet for the entire drawing! Its going to be the same color showing up throughout the piece basically! example: a character has 10 shades of blue, but i'll narrow it down to 3 and match the blues im replacing best i can!
3. Now for actual colors, It's mostly going to be whats easiest on the eye For Me! I constantly change the hues a little to the left and right and saturation all the time! I also color pick from drawings whose colors i like too!
4. At the end when im done with the drawing and coloring part, I put it thru filters. Lots! but the most important part is when i dial the contrast to the left and saturation to the right! it gives the drawing that kind of stand out glow in my opinion!
AND TY TY TY FOR THE NICE WORDS!!
Very simple step by step guide to how I color eyes! 🥰
I hope it helps, sorry if my english in the tutorial is a little off, I’m still learning B)

Ragewalker Large fey, neutral evil Armor Class 18 (plate) Hit Points 161 (17d10 + 68) Speed 50 ft. Damage Resistances bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks Condition Immunities charmed, frightened Senses passive Perception 12 Languages Abyssal, Common, Infernal, Sylvan Challenge 14 (11500 XP) Magic Resistance. The ragewalker has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. Blood Frenzy. Whenever a creature starts its turn within 10 feet of the ragewalker, that creature must make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is charmed. While charmed in this way, the creature flies into a mindless killing frenzy for 1 minute. While in this frenzy, the creature has advantage on attack rolls, and attack rolls against the creature have advantage. On each of its turns, the creature uses its movement to move to within 5 feet of the nearest creature to it, then it uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach. The creature cannot talk or cast spells. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect for itself on a success. A creature that succeeds on its save is immune to the Blood Frenzy of all ragewalkers for 24 hours Weapon Cloud. The ragewalker is surrounded by a swarm of constantly whirling weapons. Whenever a creature moves within 5 feet of the ragewalker for the first time in a turn, or starts its turn within 5 feet of the ragewalker, that creature must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (3d8) slashing damage. Actions Multiattack. The ragewalker makes three spiked chain attacks or two claw attacks. Spiked Chain. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (3d10+4) slashing damage. Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10+4) slashing damage. Reactions Repel Missiles. The ragewalker adds 5 to its AC against one ranged weapon attack that would hit it, potentially causing that attack to miss. If the attack misses, the attacker must succeed on a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw or take the damage from the attack as if hit by it. To do so, the ragewalker must see the attacker.
This strange metal-clad fey moves with sudden but graceful movements, a cloud of animate weapons orbiting it, spinning in a deadly, tantalizing dance. Ragewalkers embody the pain and grief of warfare, and the destruction it leaves on the natural landscape. They crusade ceaselessly against war by hunting down any capable of waging it. They can often be found wandering about old battlefields, using their blood frenzy aura to turn their foes against each other. Ragewalkers stand around 15 feet tall and weigh 500 pounds.

Book Wurm – Tiny monstrosity, unaligned
This peculiar critter is the smallest, yet most cunning representative of the highly venomous wurm genus. With its remarkable ability to perfectly imitate a sheet of paper, it secretly roams wherever books are present – from the dust-ridden library of an ancient civilization to the buzzing book shop selling heavy tomes and fantastic scrolls. Being able to remain motionless over extended periods of time, it is not uncommon for this whimsical creature to be utilized for a hasty note, a secret message or a cheesy poem of love – completely unnoticed by the unwary author.
