every now and then, i feel the edges of what it means to be 'tame' rather than 'domesticated'
even in the gentle space i've come to love, i remember the woods. i remember having to work for the warmth taken for granted here. i remember the lights above and hearing the noise of the other outside
this is my home now. it's where i'm supposed to be. but tame is not domesticated. i could return. and there are parts of me that will never change, never forget
