SoulAceDay 2026

Hey y'all, just wanted to make sure you know that SoulAceDay is February 16th,2026...Right around the corner!!

What is SoulAceDay?

SoulAceDay was created by me, @theasexualgoddess , and YaGirlLici (On Instagram) to highlight the African American Asexual experience and African American Asexual contributions to general Ace Art, Activism, and Culture..

SoulAceDay is also about highlighting African American cultural groups within our ethnicity and how it intersects with our Asexuality...Like for example,

Gullah Geechee Aces--Tidewater Creole Aces--Chicago Mississippian Aces--Afro Chesapeake Aces etc etc..

African Americans are NOT monolith, yes, we are one ethnicity however we have different cultures within that one ethnicity.

Aces are NOT monolith, we come from all backgrounds and we are all around the world....

This day is about highlighting a community that often gets overlooked and hopefully this day inspires people within the Ace community to create a day that highlights their intersection within the Ace community...Thank you and please share along :)

This Ace Week, I want YOU to focus on self care and indulge in the joys you have in your life. That is a form of resistance. "The most Asexual"

2025 has been a year in regards to the spectrum of Asexuality, as a sex repulsed Asexual, I'm extremely disappointed in the attempted separation of our community based around rather or not someone is a sex-repulsed Asexual, if you are not sex-repulsed but you are Ace, you are just as Asexual as me, the creation of a hierarchy within communities can lead to catastrophe and we need to avoid that.. Asexuality IS a spectrum and it's VALID ♠️💜

The spectrum of Asexuality is VALID

I've spent a better part of Pride month defending Asexuality as a spectrum. Someone who is Asexual is someone who has little to absent sexual attraction to other people. There is a grey area between Allo and Asexual, hence, the spectrum of Asexuality. And no matter where you fall on that spectrum, you are valid and no less Ace if you are not a sex-repulsed Asexual.

My fellow Asexual folk, look at the power we have and carry, we seem to have a J.K on our asses who can't bother to muster out a successful book. It's not about the sales or the popularity, It's about having humanity behind it. Unfortunately for J.K, she lacks it. If you were so successful in your craft, you would not be waking up on a special day for a community that you don't even belong to and attack them. J.K, HOW PATHETIC AND INSECURE OF YOU, you are really a fan considering you have so much to say about us Asexuals. We finally figured out what that J.K really means, JEALOUS KAREN. Joy is part of the resistance.

A lot has changed since I posted my last post, we have an issue with a certain somebody who thinks it's ok to bully any and everyone it deems, different. The irony that I came out during the first go around of that, bully. With all of the uncertainty out there that is wreaking havoc on all of us, we must remember to stand in the little joys we have, and one of those joys is, community. That is something that can withstand any era we navigate through, dive into art, dive into learning and reaching out to those in need. Be the best you, you CAN be.
