“He’s a charmer.” Arthur thought that St. John was charming, quick, and sweet—all essential things that you’d needed to be a voice on the radio. Stutter be damned, he was a great talker, and Arthur liked his voice, whether he bit the bait or not. He hoped he did—being drunk of your ass wasn’t great radio, and crying about the crash was going to be devastating. “And I hope so. Come on, rockstar. You want me to fix you up something that’ll get your ass back down, or do you want something to raise you from the dead?”
' he’s a good guy, ’ geo confirmed, something they could agree upon. he doesn’t question the offer of the drink either, just nods. ‘ something that’ll fix a hangover ? ’ he suggests, though something to take the edge off wouldn’t be something he’d oppose, even if he should. he can pretend it’s different though, he never felt like this when he was in the band. at least as far as he can remember. it’ll be fine. ‘ so do we say nothing when we turn the mic on or... ? ’
