SNEAK PREVIEW MY EXHIBITION
“New Works”
An exhibition of drawings, paintings and sculptures by Geoff De Main at the Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery opening night – Friday 14th March 2014 at 6: 30 pm.
The drawings and ceramic sculptures are influenced by the classical art of the Greek and Romans ruins that I saw while travelling around Spain and Cyprus, this is then combined with the modern day body art of the tattoo.
The second part of the exhibition is a series of paintings which have evolved from the many decades I have spent working with plain air oil sketches around the streets of Broken Hill.
Another sneak peak leading up to my exhibition for more information go to www.geoffdemain.com Sculpture of Aphrodite by Geoff De Main

An inside look into my studio. Portraits are my forte, & I enjoy capturing the sitters unique personality.
This is one of my murals in Broken Hill , the fist is symbolic of the struggle of the union movement, which was very strong in the past in Australia.

While taking Melbourne Artist, Michael O'Dwyer around the OUTBACK, we came across these images, The first pictures are of the drift-wood at Perry Lake, near White Cliffs in the desert. I created this by using found objects, Michael took the pictures. The second lot of pictures took my fancy because I recognised a set of faces hidden in the dead wood, lets see if you can decipher what I see. Use your artistic license!! — in White Cliffs
