Rock groans from under the door. He wasn't quite sure how, the door hadn't *looked* that heavy, but it had managed to knock him over. Only his limbs were visible where they poked out from under it.

*Vern lifts the door off of him.*

Christ…and to think I made all that fuss earlier…are you alright?

Ey looks a little bruised, but manages a smile and a thumbs-up.

"I'll be fine, yeah! I've had worse!" Rock chuckles. "Should have dodged, but my instinct was to try and block... only we're on the fourth floor so there really wasn't enough stone for me to work with."

Honestly, this was a prank designed for someone I knew. Didn’t think of the fact that anyone could just walk right into it, to be honest. Didn’t think I reattached the hinges so poorly either.

You and everyone else in this building have a lot in common. Anyways, it was for a friend of mine. He had a weird door set up like this where a bunch of different versions of him would pop up. And then a new friend did it. And someone else. So I figured “why not?” and just took the door off of that room and put it here,

"Oh! I saw one of those earlier! Met a guy called Michael who's a sorceror!"

Nice. I met a man with 6 arms and a sandwich for a head. Apparently we’re roughly the same guy.

"That's pretty neat!" Ey grins. "Do you think you could grow extra arms if you wanted?"

Not…at will? I don’t exactly have some extra arms lying around.

"Oh. well, neither can I, really," rock shrugs. "I can make rocks look like arms though, you wanna see?"

…Sure, why not?

"Yay! :D" ey smiles, and claps eir hands. Some of the bricks in the walls tremble, and a few rocks fly out of his pockets. Mica clenches rocks fingers, and the stones clump together in a vaguely-arm-and-hand-shaped mass. It was a little on the small side, about the size of a six-year-old's arm.

"Again, not a whole lot of stone for me to work with right here. But I can make them bigger when there's more."

"Right???" Rock grins. "I love doing this sort of thing. It's super fun! But, the best part is I can talk to the rocks."

ooc what we call the oshaverse has evolved into just. roleplay with some buck-wild characters and a truly insane power scale. We still put osha in the names of things sometimes but it is so very much not about that at this point. The "OSHA complex" is just the place they all hang out (and it is slightly alive). so like if you wanted you could join but your gimmick is more in the older/original style and might not mesh well with things like "here's my dark-domain god-eater it's going to make friends with the space-themed eldritch janitor who has multiple bodies and grew up in ancient mesopotamia. the sun goddess has declared it her nemesis also" (real things that happened)

you could also find all the other blogs that retained that original style, (I think the original osha-official may have been remade, for instance? Haven't seen much of it myself though) and like, create a new oshaverse around that. or a trainverse as you're a train gimmick.

There's a door in the middle of one of the OSHA halls, and it looks noticeably different from the other doors. For some reason, it's also ringing like a phone? Maybe somebody should open it.

Mica opens the door, not even thinking about whether ey should do so or the ringing. He just took a wrong turn, really.

"Mica! So good to see you!"

A large man walks through the door and gives rock a warm greeting as if he knows rock.

"Any particular reason you're disguised as a human? I prefer the sparkles in your skin."

He claps the dust off his hands. "The dust is still there, though."

"It's not a disguise?" Ey blinks. "Do I... Know you?"

He fiddles with a pebble in one of rocks pockets, and whispers, "Debra, do we know him?"

"Do you not remember me? I helped you get through that labyrinth along with that cleric of Daisy and retrieve an elemental emerald from the lich dwelling within?"

He tilts his head.

"Is this a case of mistaken identity? Are you not Mica?"

"That is my name," he nods, "But I don't... remember anything about any liches? What is that, even? But an elemental emerald sounds cool, do you know what makes it different from a regular emerald? What elemental did it have?" eyr voice gradually becomes more excited as rock begins to change the subject.

"Well, you see, it doesn't have an elemental, it allows its bearer to control elements. All elemental gems do. Emeralds control plants."

He's still perplexed. Mica feels an odd sensation. Like ey isn't the only on in eyr head.

"...Not a whole lot going on in that noggin, just like my Mica. You do seem to be a Mica... But one from a very different type of world. I seem to have stumbled onto some portal between worlds."

He quickly breaks eye contact and immediately starts studying the door.

"I'm Michael, by the way. Sorcerer extraordinaire."

"Huh. I thought it might be a bit like Debra's rocks, those definitely have an elemental." ey shrugs. "I'm Mica, as you know :D "

He starts looking at the door too, though if it didn't have any rocks then ey probably wouldn't be of much help.

"I think I've heard somewhere, maybe just from passing people in the halls here, that we get a lot of folks from other worlds in this area? Dunno much though, I haven't met too many of them myself..."

Yes Mica, says the grating voice of Debra in rocks head, I think we have met a version of this man before. Now, numbskull, why don't you use your own brain to remember where?

Rock squints at Michael. He did look kind of familiar... Not like anyone ey knew well, though. Maybe it was just one of those faces?

"And I hear the telltale grumbling of Debra, do I not?" Michael grins.

"I should explain. I'm telepathic. I can hear the idle chitchat between you two. Hello Debra, do be a bit nicer to poor Mica, if ey's like my Mica, ey's a bit slow on the uptake."

Hmmphf. is the only response Debra deigns to make.

"Oh, don't worry about them :D" Mica says. "they're just a bit grumpy because I haven't been making much progress on their quest lately. And," rock glances around briefly, and puts a hand up to speak secretively, "It took a while to figure out, but I think that insults are like, their love language, probably."

THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT, YOU-

"They do have a point though," he frowns. "I've definitely seen your face before. At least in passing."

"No, no, you are absolutely right, insults are how my Mica'a Debra tells him they love him." Michael grins. Annoying Debra is one of his favorite things to do when bored.

"Anyway, you have a quest? I'd be more than pleased to help out! But first..."

Michael focuses on Mica's mind and pulls an image to the front... Mike! The man in the cafeteria, of course!

"OH!" Rock snaps rocks fingers. "The food guy! Do you also cook? Or is that just the you from here?"

Ey bounces on his feet. "And, it's nothing big, your Mica probably has the same one, or similar. The stone tablet Debra got sealed in was sundered a while back and I'm just picking up the pieces for them."

"I was indeed helping those two with the very same quest! We had actually managed to track down a few of the pieces. One ended up in a cobalt dragon's hoard! You and Debra pulled out some impressive feats of geomancy that day."

Michael thinks.

"Though I can't remain forever, I'd be happy to talk to you and maybe offer advice? Or just help you annoy Debra."

"Both of those sound fun!" Ey flaps his hands. "I'm not sure how much advice you can offer, though? I just need to wander around some more, really, cuz that's been pretty successful so far and it's not like I have any real clues."

"...You don't remember how to use Debra to scry for the tablet?"

"Eh, the rules might be different where you're from?" Rock grimaces and waves a hand noncommittally, "We can sense pieces that are nearby, and nearby people that have come in contact with them, but..."

Ey shrugs. "Avit was making me some glasses I can look through to enhance that, I should see if there's progress there... But yeah, that's about it?"

"Well... the dungeon master isn't here right now, so maybe I could get away with a little something..."

Michael focuses his mind again, muttering and making intricate motions with his hand. In his mind, Mica can clearly see the location of a fragment of Debra's tablet!

"Ah. I believe I may have overste-"

Michael is cut off as he is dragged back toward the door by some phantom force.

"Good luck!"

"Thanks! You Too! :D" Mica waves at Michael as he is dragged away, and then pulls out a notebook to write down everything ey can remember from that scene.

He's still perplexed. Mica feels an odd sensation. Like ey isn't the only on in eyr head.

"...Not a whole lot going on in that noggin, just like my Mica. You do seem to be a Mica... But one from a very different type of world. I seem to have stumbled onto some portal between worlds."

He quickly breaks eye contact and immediately starts studying the door.

"I'm Michael, by the way. Sorcerer extraordinaire."

"Huh. I thought it might be a bit like Debra's rocks, those definitely have an elemental." ey shrugs. "I'm Mica, as you know :D "

He starts looking at the door too, though if it didn't have any rocks then ey probably wouldn't be of much help.

"I think I've heard somewhere, maybe just from passing people in the halls here, that we get a lot of folks from other worlds in this area? Dunno much though, I haven't met too many of them myself..."

Yes Mica, says the grating voice of Debra in rocks head, I think we have met a version of this man before. Now, numbskull, why don't you use your own brain to remember where?

Rock squints at Michael. He did look kind of familiar... Not like anyone ey knew well, though. Maybe it was just one of those faces?

"And I hear the telltale grumbling of Debra, do I not?" Michael grins.

"I should explain. I'm telepathic. I can hear the idle chitchat between you two. Hello Debra, do be a bit nicer to poor Mica, if ey's like my Mica, ey's a bit slow on the uptake."

Hmmphf. is the only response Debra deigns to make.

"Oh, don't worry about them :D" Mica says. "they're just a bit grumpy because I haven't been making much progress on their quest lately. And," rock glances around briefly, and puts a hand up to speak secretively, "It took a while to figure out, but I think that insults are like, their love language, probably."

THEY MOST CERTAINLY ARE NOT, YOU-

"They do have a point though," he frowns. "I've definitely seen your face before. At least in passing."

"No, no, you are absolutely right, insults are how my Mica'a Debra tells him they love him." Michael grins. Annoying Debra is one of his favorite things to do when bored.

"Anyway, you have a quest? I'd be more than pleased to help out! But first..."

Michael focuses on Mica's mind and pulls an image to the front... Mike! The man in the cafeteria, of course!

"OH!" Rock snaps rocks fingers. "The food guy! Do you also cook? Or is that just the you from here?"

Ey bounces on his feet. "And, it's nothing big, your Mica probably has the same one, or similar. The stone tablet Debra got sealed in was sundered a while back and I'm just picking up the pieces for them."

"I was indeed helping those two with the very same quest! We had actually managed to track down a few of the pieces. One ended up in a cobalt dragon's hoard! You and Debra pulled out some impressive feats of geomancy that day."

"Though I can't remain forever, I'd be happy to talk to you and maybe offer advice? Or just help you annoy Debra."

"Both of those sound fun!" Ey flaps his hands. "I'm not sure how much advice you can offer, though? I just need to wander around some more, really, cuz that's been pretty successful so far and it's not like I have any real clues."

There's a door in the middle of one of the OSHA halls, and it looks noticeably different from the other doors. For some reason, it's also ringing like a phone? Maybe somebody should open it.

A large man walks through the door and gives rock a warm greeting as if he knows rock.

"Any particular reason you're disguised as a human? I prefer the sparkles in your skin."

He claps the dust off his hands. "The dust is still there, though."

"It's not a disguise?" Ey blinks. "Do I... Know you?"

He fiddles with a pebble in one of rocks pockets, and whispers, "Debra, do we know him?"

"Do you not remember me? I helped you get through that labyrinth along with that cleric of Daisy and retrieve an elemental emerald from the lich dwelling within?"

He tilts his head.
