Wikipedia is one of the most visited websites in the world, but over 90% of the editors are male. Experts believe that this gender imbalance in editors leads to a gender imbalance in what subjects are covered by Wikipedia. Since March is Women’s History month, there are a bunch of upcoming events to increase the number of women covered by Wikipedia.

Art+Feminism, March 7 & 8, 2015: Numerous sites in North America and Europe, plus one in New Zealand. Lots of US universities are hosting events: UGA, UT, Cal, Art Institute of Chicago, Case Western Reserve, IU, UC Irvine, UK, Tulane, SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Purchase, Notre Dame, Sweet Briar, RISD, UCSB, UCSD, William & Mary, and Holy Cross. Plus there are events at museums in NYC, DC, Philly, Portland, SF, Houston, etc. If you’re in NYC, MoMA is running a training event for volunteers on February 25.
