Here’s the whole book! It’s a loose interpretation of the three timeless cycles of creation, preservation, and transformation. I’ll also be selling the silkscreen books soon if anyone’s interested!

Tokyo Blues is a visual narrative reinterpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen reset in a moody 70s underground Tokyo following Gerda’s quest of getting her friend Kay back from the Yakuza. As my junior project I decided to concentrate on studying composition and narrative flow by interweaving visuals into dynamic panels in contrast of traditional methods of using boxes to separate the panels.

Over the past month I've been backpacking through Europe and recording the journey in my sketchbook. Ive been couchsurfing, hitchhiking, camping, and meeting distant relatives around Europe, and after having traveled more than 2600 miles (4200 km) i have to say ive met some amazingly generous, kind, and interesting characters along the way. Its been a long strange trip indeed.
