“Thank you!” Kerrigan caught up, slightly out of breath. “Sorry, he really hates baths. Come here you!” She dove for him and he slipped out of her fingers. She connected hard with the dry Arizona ground and there was a cracking sound. The dog bounced around her enthusiastically, barking.
❝ &&.┋kerrigan! ❞
Dot laughed as she watched her fight with her dog, the canine faking her out each time she got close before causing her to fall. Dot winced, hurrying over and catching the dog by his collar, crouching down to scratch the back of his neck and look down at the older woman, “Are you okay?” She can’t help her giggle, smiling sweetly at her as she offered a hand to help her up, “Do you need help bathing him?”
“Um...sure...” Kerrigan felt a blush creep up on her face. She couldn’t help but notice how brilliantly vivid Dotty’s eyes shined in the Arizona afternoon light. Brushing herself off she stood, glaring at the offending pet. “I think I need a bath too after this.”
