what you experience is hyperfixation, which is pathological. what I experience is psychosexual obsession, which is also pathological, but in a darkly chic and subversive way. thank you for understanding.
i dont even like her but i never want to hear a cis persons opinion on jax ever again

Hm. Interesting. Apparently cortisol production depletes magnesium stores. And I have a lot of symptomatic overlap with magnesium deficiency. And it can apparently help migraine. And ADHD. I think I'm going to try supplementing magnesium glycinate. L-threonate sounds really interesting too as that's magnesium that can cross the blood-brain barrier and apparently is super useful for memory and shit.
this can't keep happening
I reblogged this a week ago because it was funny and because I was about to start taking magnesium supplements and after a few days on a half dose it appears that this may have been responsible for a solid 30% of the problems I have that aren't trauma or stress-related
stop saying "i have a double chin" and start saying "BEHOLD MY FORMIDABLE DEWLAP"
Squidward's whole deal is that he was a scion of Old Money who got really into Marxism in college and decided he couldn't live with himself as a beneficiary of the Bourgeoisie. He cut ties with his parents and went to live as a proletariat for a few years to better his music.
Of course, what was supposed to be a short term service industry job before he lived for his art has bloomed into just being his life, and life as a poor artist is never as romantic as one imagines. While the cost of living of Bikini Bottom is low enough that even a frycook can be a homeowner, it's not quite so low that he can afford the luxuries he was used to growing up.
His view of the Working Class as the downtrodden masses were rather tattered by years of living between SpongeBob and Patrick, who were not so much temporarily oppressed intellectuals as they were, well, SpongeBob and Patrick.
Still, through thick and thin he's never gone back on his decision to leave the money behind. The great irony is that he is ignorant of his greatest achievement—his superiority to Squilliam isn't turning a bunch of randos into a functioning Marching Band or turning a burger joint into a fine dining establishment, it's having the strength of character to look at all the advantages Squilliam had and choose to leave it behind.
He will never be a master Clarinet player, but he will always have that
the online identity and gimmick-ifying of autism is so odd. I'm diagnosed with autism and yet I barely identify with any stuff I see about it anymore. It feels like autism is being rebranded as the Silly Guy Disorder that gives you smart and beautiful hyperspecific interests. it's not that I mind silly jokes or being lighthearted about being autistic- but when the entire social movement is based around marketing us this way, I just can't help but feel isolated from it. it feels like I'm not the right kind of autistic. I'm not marketable and digestible to common audiences, and therefore I am discarded by the movement in the name of progress and acceptance. it feels foul.

Just curious due to the ask you just answered, but you mention you had to add "more romance" at least twice the process of getting published.
How do you feel about the current, published version of the book? Is the book better for it, or do you feel as though the extra romance detracts from your original vision?
I find it interesting there still wasn't enough of it after the first time you edited, and they asked for more again.
I think all the editing notes I got were good!
they definitely wanted me to play Sir Cameron up as a romance, but I'm not anti-romance, so I was happy to make those changes. the only problem was that all the romance books I'd read were written prior to 2010 (Emily Giffin, Sophie Kinsella, Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, etc) and conventions have shifted since, so my lack of familiarity with modern romantasy had me making choices that accidentally blue-balled people.
I have since fixed this!! I've read Sarah J. Maas! and also a bunch of denmei for good measure. and in my upcoming book, The Ignoble Invasion of Prince Proculo, there is no fade to black, no matter how much you might wish for it. full pedipalp and carapace action, I swear to you.
you will see these two going at it. and yes, it is anatomically possible.
Human bodies are so weird like the upper half consists of every single vital organ and the lower half is legs
I miss my leeches for all the normal pet reasons but I also miss being able to use them as a one-hit death blow to end stupid conversations. Whenever I defend the ecological importance of parasites someone will inevitably crawl up and go “well I bet you wouldn’t feel that way if you had them” and oooooo boy let me tell you. It was so fun to hit back with “I DO” and then whip out my phone and show them 30 pictures of my fucking Worms

how it feels to become an active participant in your own life
while i know he doesn't really gaf about boundaries or have a human sense of shame like that i do think that rocky realising that he's come to find grace perversely, sincerely desirable and developed an entirely reasonable but still uncomfortably intense degree of starvation for physical touch during their extended confinement together works better if he's not immediately fine and okay with it. i mean, he literally lives in a glass house, and the only time he could reasonably get away with processing his uncharted new feelings (up to you if that's a euphemism or not) is while watching over the already precariously easy to disturb sleep cycles of a fellow PTSD survivor who does have certain hangups and may not even share his attraction. let's all hope and pray that eridians don't ovulate or he's in for a hideously miserable four years on the return trip to erid.
