Desperately need to get this off my chest.
A few nights ago, my roommates and I were trying to piece together the scraps of MCR lore we were given in Lima. During Sleep, we get shown images of the reconditioning that takes place in whatever fucked up prison system/mental hospital they're in (MOAT). All the members of The Black Parade and several Draag officials are shown going through the reconditioning process, INCLUDING His Grand Immortal Dictator.
Not to mention the whole deal with this secretary character that does not stand to show respect when His Grant Immortal Dictator walks into a room. And how significant she has been in both Peru and Chile (observing their every move, handing Gerard the flare at the start of Famous Last Words and the dagger he kills the clerk with during Blood, ect.)
All signs seem to be pointing to the fact that His Grand Immortal Dictator is not actually the one in charge.
He is a puppet. A ruler that does not hold any authority, if you will.
And while we were scrambling to try to figure out the word one would use to describe such a thing, our roommate (who knows nothing about MCR and does not care for any of the lore) chimed in and said "oh, a Paper King?".
Which, of course, activated the sleeper agent that resides in every single MCR fan in the house. Because, I'm SORRY? PAPER KING? LIKE PAPER KINGDOM? PAPER KINGDOM AS IN MCR'S UNRELEASED FIFTH ALBUM, THE PAPER KINGDOM? THAT ONE?
Anyways,, now I can sleep for the night. Back to your regularly scheduled program.
