[Home] office or... an [Home] Atelier?

We did need a home office even before the apocalypse pandemia, or because now and then we needed to study something new or long time no seen subject, or prepare a presentation, or getting inspired... for many reasons that some of us used to be setting temp office at kitchen tables.

In time of the “new normal” for some of us it is officially a necessity. But working at home we have the freedom to create OUR space, to choose scent candles, color palettes, textures, sound track... anything! Why not to give a go to the idea of an atelier at home? A place with a [slightly] bigger table to throw things around and embrace a childish spirit of creativity in whatever you do.

Why I wanted to share it?

Because we can slightly wear one of the most creatives shoes and borrow some creative confidence! At your 20′s you feel like you must figure it out, at your 30′s (although I’m at the 30′s) you are in the limbo and at your 40′s you wake up and realize you must do something of your life and start it all over again... (as I undertood she said...)

I’m at that moment that I just started it all over again (at 30′s) and I must figure it out how! What about you? Do you dare to spit it out?

I confess that a lot of doubt closes my eyes to make the best of now, to give more, to make more, to enjoy more and worry less. In 2015, when I was in my way to Chile, I spent 3 months in Cuiabá and got the opportunity to collaborate in a national competition with my dear friends Leonardo Prazeres and Ana Carolina Rodrigues. We ended up getting the 3° prize and above are few images! 

The project should be a proposal for a new office for the Architectural Council of the State of Goiais.  We created a prismatic pattern to be used through all the spaces to create office partitions and signages as visual identity in the space, as a net. {in progress} Back home has its happy moments. I teamed with my father to create an identity to my mother’s home made cake [tiny little] store. He made the illustrations and I made the graphic design and art direction :D  The idea was to highlight the ingredients to show she uses everything as natural as possible. The color palette we opted for vivid with this red/white as principal. The type is the lovely Valentina by  Pedro Arilla, a tribute to his grandmother. Straight when I laid my eyes on it saw my mother’s personality as well.
