Wedding Binder!
Wedding Binder
I have purchased the Passporter: Weddings and Honeymoons book as the E-book and printed out the pages so that I could add this to my 2” binder. I have made sub sections in my binder and keep it with me pretty much everywhere I go. Since I’ve just started planning I have 8 tabs as of right now and im sure some things will change as time goes on. As of right now I have: • Budget tab: when you begin your planning process you need to first develop a budget and stick to it as best you can. Since I am booking a wedding package with Disney, it has some of the stuff you would normally need to include in your budget, already included into the price of the package. The extras I added was: officient, dress, tuxes, shoes, hair cuts for the guys, hair and makeup, wedding rings, under garments, wedding license, plane tickets, resort accommodations, welcome dinner for guests, reception dinner for guests, money for food the remainder of your trip, etc… • Calendar tab: I have a calendar of 2014-2015 as a whole and also monthly if needed. This is where you can keep important dates highlighted with notes and important information needed • Ceremony tab- I have a tab dedicated to information regarding my ceremony and cake ceremony that is included in my Disney package. This will have any important information and any questions I have in it. • Reservation tab- all of my resort reservations , guests reservations, restaurant reservations, gown and tux steaming reservation, hair and makeup, any important reminders • Restaurants tab- I have a quite large section of my binder dedicated to a list of all Disney property restaurants along with their menus. You can include a list of restaurants by category (buffet, family style, sit down, large groups, etc.) this section may be able to be smaller once you have narrowed down your main choices and once your reservations have been made. • Wedding Agenda tab: once your plans are in place and you have been working diligitently with a wedding coordinator and have all your information you need. You may add it to this section • Celebration tab: because we are having a destination wedding and not all of our family will be able to attend, we have decided to have a “celebration” when we get home from our wedding/honeymoon. Not everyone will have this, but we think it will be fun, and we will be able to showcase all of our wedding photos and footage for our family who wasn’t able to make it, to see. • Pocket folder tab- I have a clear pocket inset that holds all of the park maps and any information I get. Because my fiancé and I are planning everything together I have decided to omit the Wedding Dress section, as I do not want him to even know which style dress I am going to pick, I want him to be completely surprised. I will keep my wedding dress section in my maid of honor’s binder, at her house

Grand Floridian private dining proposal
Disney World Proposal!
I knew Dan had a nice date night planned for us for Sunday night in Disney but I didn’t know where we were going or what we were doing. He kept trying to throw me off by saying we were going sky diving or going for a helicopter ride ( things I would never do). All I knew is that we would be taking the monorail to our destination for the evening. Once I knew we were taking the monorail I immediately though we were going to the Polynesian resort, since we both loved our last dining experience at ‘Ohana there. I figured maybe a nice dinner at the luau or possibly a picnic on the beach as I had heard him make mention before that “hey did you know you could have a picnic on the beach at the Polynesian?”. When we got to the Polynesian I asked if we were getting off the monorail here and he said no. I was confused? I said oh, ok?. The next stop was the Grand Floridian and I jokingly said “are we getting off here?” and he stood up and said yes. I thought he was joking so I asked him if he was serious and he said yes lets go. We walked inside the resort and headed for the lobby. The resort was so incredibly beautiful inside, and at this point I still didn’t know exactly what we were doing there or where we were going. Dan told me to wait a minute while he went to ask the front desk a question and when he came back he told me that we were waiting for a guy by the piano. When the “guy” arrived to the piano he greeted us as Harold and he would be our butler for the evening…… wait, what? A BUTLER? I said okay? As I shook his hand, he then led us to the elevator and used a special key for access. I’m not sure exactly which floor it was that we got off on but Harold then led us to a private balcony which had rose petals all over the ground and a quaint table set for two. Harold held out my chair for me to sit and asked if I was surprised. Surprised was an understatement. The view was amazing. From the balcony if you looked to the right you had a view of the Grand Floridian beach on the water and could see the Polynesian in the distance. When it was time for the electrical water pageant that is where it could be seen. If you looked to the left, that was the direction of Magic Kingdom with a perfect viewing area of Wishes fireworks later to come. There was a basket of warm bread wrapped in a cloth napkin waiting on the table for us. Harold proceeded to hand us each our own customized menu of the evening that Dan had specially picked himself. On my menu for my appetizer I had an intimate fruit and cheese platter which had blue cheese, goat cheese, cheddar, brie with honey comb, unrefined papaya, raisins on the vine, pineapple, honeydew melon, strawberries and some type of croistini bread. Dan had a cheese quesadilla with gourmet micro cilantro. While we were waiting for the appetizers to arrive we saw a helicopter flying overhead and I panicked and said “were really not going on a helicopter right? That’s not for us right? “ Dan thought it was funny since he had been telling me all this time we were going on a helicopter knowing I wouldn’t want to and then one showed up ( not knowing there would be one in the area). After the appetizer, it was the soup course of which we both had the French onion soup. I cannot stress enough how delicious this soup was. hands down on a mutual agreement the best we both had ever had. Once the soup was finished we were already starting to get a little full but still had 3 courses to go. The salads arrived next; for me I was given the seasonal salad which consisted of spinach, heirloom apples, cranberries, walnuts, midnight goat cheese, sweet potato straws and a apple cider vinaigrette. Dan went with the classic Caesar salad. We both barely touched our salads because if all the food up until this point was as amazing as it was then we wanted to save room for our main courses! About 15 minutes after the salads Harold brought us each our main entrée. Dan had the New York strip with broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes; for me he had to simplify the menu since I am so picky. I had a grilled piece of chicken breast with mashed potatoes and corn. Harold said he does not even know where the chef found corn that it must have been sent over from another restaurant because they do not serve it there. Unfortunately we were both getting full and was not able to finish our meals which was a big bummer because they were so so so delicious. We were just pushing 9:59 PM and I asked Harold to bring me to the restroom since we need his escort if we needed to use the facilities that evening. We were walking into the resort and he looked at his watch and said the fireworks will be staring in exactly one minute... do you think you could wait so you don’t miss them? I said oh definitely, I do not want to miss them. So we turned around and went back to the balcony. As I was about to sit down I started taking pictures of the fireworks because they were so beautiful and the view was incredible. Harold then placed our dessert on the table. I sat down and Dan held my hand I was telling him to hurry up and turn around because he was missing the fireworks and he just kept saying it’s ok and he stood up and I was so confused I said where are you going? And he walked in front of me and got down on one knee and told me how much he loved me and my son ( previous marriage) and wanted to spend the rest of his life with us and he pulled out this gorgeous ring from a box asked if I would marry him. I was completely shocked and I of course said yes and then asked if he was serious and if this was real a few times I was so surprised and he said it’s very real, I asked your mother, your step father, and your father for all of their permission and they all said yes and good luck and then I started crying and gave him a big hug and a kiss. After I said yes he lifted the lid to one of the dishes Harold brought out that the pastry chef had wrote in chocolate Will you marry me? He said “I wasn’t sure how to incorporate this into it I was so nervous.” This was all happening while Wishes fireworks were going off, it was so romantic I don’t think I could have asked for a better proposal. Harold came back to the balcony and asked if I was surprised yet again and I was very much so. He took a picture of us during the fireworks on the balcony, and then together at the table. I was so excited I never even got to eat my dessert! This was truly a magical evening and I will never forget it for one moment. I have found my prince and can start my happily ever after.
