I watched the odyssey today. I think it was good overall but there were some parts where the pacing was strange, the dialogue for some characters were a bit weird and hmm certain fights dragged. Overall a 4/5 maybe I’ll elaborate once I think about it more

Ok so I maintain it’s a 4/5 for what it was, however there was so much missing from this movie that I can’t say it’s really a good adaptation of the Odyssey, more like, a movie sort of inspired. The complete underutilization of Athena and the other female characters is honestly the most egregious point of the film, and they don’t do the world building and mythological imports very well. I think the action and cinematography was fantastic but I don’t know how much it can support the fact that the true plot was stripped.
