in the serene night of thirteenth
came as unexpectedly as a thief
she took an unlikely path
dove headfirst to the afterlife
she brought with her were burdens
storms she tried to conceal
wanna believe this is part of a dream,
of a nightmare I so long to avoid
but the truth has slapped my reverie
this vicious world at her own risk
and as late as it may seem
I looked for signs I may have missed
on her twitter she'd said
most people won't comprehend
but I know someday it'd make sense"
on her journal were hurtful truths
that she was molested, threatened,
and for years, she conceded
from every hour and every minute
of a constant battle with depression
she felt no way of escape
no worthy person to confide
and she kept it all within
she coped through what she think's best
tears falling, heart breaking
she left as eager as she could
how her life might've been a mess
how tired she'd really been
her choice and her escape
but never the love I always have
from what she'd been through
and I'll always believe this
for I will never completely know
from herself and from her liberty
to be who she would truly be.
