the way he spends a major chunk of the trailer fighting himself as opposed to his original one. cutting through himself, gathering all the pain and forcing himself to acknowledge it, accepting it deep inside his heart rather than pushing it outward. yeah ok whatever
the crazed laughter giving way to acceptance, albeit painful in the way he cries out yet tries to grit his teeth and pull through. most importantly yingxing helping him become his own person instead of being locked away in slivers of mara stricken memories. the difference here when compared to dan feng and dan heng is so,,, man.
everything that's been creeping up on him all these years, he lies down and allows it to 'drown' him. once and for all, the emotions and memories sweep through him. as he does that, he faces the version of him at his most destructive. "a sharp blade must first be broken a thousand times", so they clash again and again. it's like he's rewriting what jingliu did to him, one defeat at a time.

this rebirth theme is so dear to me, the chanting and the drastic change in the music associated with him, the way he's finally realising he's more than just a weapon and righting the worst of his past that has tormented him so. all while still being batshit insane. bastard man i love you...
